Positive Outcome of SoCal's Unusual Cold Weather

It's been cold here this week. Not sure if it was record setting or just a long time since we have experienced this. I don't like it but being a "bi-costal" person I have plenty of cold weather gear.

I never quite got everything put away after my trip to MA just before Christmas so was well prepared for this past week. Been living in sweaters and sweater dresses with heavy leggings and high boots. A couple of days ago I realized that the sweater dress I put on was perfect for one of the belts I created to for a summer dress.

The perfect combination of summer and winter - or as it has been here this past year climate change.

I hate to have to tell you this, but it has been 79F here in Georgia today, we got a real sweat on when we were driving up to Harlem. But I understand it will drop into the middle 60s tomorrow...Brrrr...

We have plenty of sun but it is still cold. Suppose to warm tomorrow then back to normal by Thurs and in the 70's by the week-end.

Thank you. I ordered lots of the "charms" when I found them. they have served as holiday tree ornaments to hanging beaded creations. No doubt they will show up in more projects.

Yikes - at least we don't have that. Got down to a couple of degrees below freezing for 2 nights and "cooked" a few of my plants but nothing that won't grow back.

Thank you - I have to burn up the excess energy some way in order to stay out of trouble.

I sort of remember it being cold for a month or so when I was in Phoenix back in the 80's. Then within a couple of months it was hot for most of the rest of the year. Loved it though.

Colder than usual? I remember a trip up to Mt. Hood some years ago and there was a lot of snow there.

That would be our usual temperature here for this time of year. Waiting for things to get back to normal.

Thank you - warm is why it is on a sweater and not on the skirt and tank top it goes with.

Thank you. Glad to hear you are having a mild winter. I remember it being freezing for months when I lived in Canada - and that was in Toronto not the north.

Nice belt - some creative ideas where you make something nice out of a few 'insignificant' things if looked at by themselves.

Have a beautiful day heading towards a lovely weekends.

It's interesting that you would comment about making something nice out of a few significance things. Just today Chuck was commenting on how I make really good stuff out of all sorts of odds and ends. Just the a matter of seeing things with a different eye.
