The Party is Over Got home tonight but I sure wish I were still on the beach in Mexico. My 20 pounds of shells and shell pieces made it without incident other than when added to all of the basic cotton clothing I got for my embroidery projects made it difficult to balance the weight in the suitcases so none of them were overweight. I was afraid I would be more overweight than the suitcases and would have to pay the extra weight charge myself. Good news though. I didn't gain any weight but I can't see why as I ate about 3 times much as I usually do. Back to reality in the morning. Spiritwoman ^i^ |

The first thing that popped in my head with this picture was, a Girl Scout song we used to sing as Taps around the campfire. Day is done, gone the sun, from the lakes, from the hills, from the sky, all is well, safely rest, God is nigh. I'm glad you had a good time in Mexico!

Thank you. Going to Mexico always makes me question why I come home but that answer is easy - kids, grands and great grand. Spiritwoman ^i^

I considered the beach roaming but it dismissed it becasue I am so much slower these days but perhaps that is compensated for by the fact that it takes a lot more effort to haul this aging body around. Spiritwoman ^i^

When you asked about the tan it made me laugh. I do have a pic of it that I sent to a VERY close friend. Only my hip and bottom line really but I still can't post it here! Spiritwoman ^i^

No problems in Puerto Vallarta. Worst problem is driving through LA to get to the airport. Seriously - even pre teen girls can walk around any time of day or night and single women have no difficulties navigating alone. People are friendly and helpful and go out of their way to encourage tourism as that is their only business. The culture includes respect for others and an easy going lifestyle. suits me perfectly Spiritwoman ^i^

I'm curious about that myself. Rounding up the grands next week to see what we can come up with. I'm thinking treasure boxes but I have to see what kind of base materials I can find for them. For My part I am thinking some sort of decorative stone work for the front flower beds which will eliminate more weeding. Spiritwoman ^i^
