Re: Sleeping With the Enemy I am single by choice. this means that while I might not choose to technically I can sleep with whomever I want. I have no obligation to limit myself. Since someone chose to put things this way regarding my responses let me use it as a way to explain I am my own person. I agree with some points from both sides of an issue while disagreeing with them on others. I evaluate each issue on its own merit. Example - I support universal health care but also my right to bear arms. I am a practicing Pagan but do not insist those from different belief systems are incorrect. I might explain how I see the issue but this does not mean or indicate that the other person is wrong. What does it mean? I don’t fit any mold. Politically (which is something everyone understands) this is called an independent. Those who need conformity and a more black and white world can’t understand this. I may like and agree with one of your ideas but not another. How I feel about a person’s ideas and beliefs has nothing to do with how I feel about them as a person. I live quite peacefully and happily with someone whose political ideals are opposite mine. Somewhere along the line in my educational process I was told something that rang true and remains in my core being. Big people talk about ideas. Small people talk about people. We can only learn and grow by considering things that are out of our comfort zone. I like different approaches to long term issues. I also tend to withhold black and white decisions or judgments. I either do not feel I have enough information to reach a conclusion, the issue is not important enough for me to need to make a decision or I can see pros and cons to both sides of the argument. Most issues do not have clear cut answers or they would not be issues in the first place. One thing I learned in college is that you can do research and support a valid argument for anything. This seems to infuriate those who feel I have to agree with them or am the enemy. I will not initiate controversy but can definitely hold my own if cornered. Anyone who considers me “the enemy” does so because they chose to be, not because I chose them to be. For anyone who cannot understand this let me put it another way. I do not see things like many humans. To some I am a member of an alien race dropped off on earth as an infant. Most of all I am confused but flattered to think that my opinion matters enough to make people feel I need to agree with or support them. I am unique to the point of being eccentric but nothing special and my opinion or agreement is no more important than anyone’s. I also wonder why anyone thinks they should be able to tell me how I should think or for that matter anyone should be told how to think. I was taught to evaluate and make my own decisions. To agreed, disagree or ignore ideas is one thing. Personal attacks are another. I refuse to allow myself to be brought down to the lower level so insult away if you feel you must. It is not likely that I will change either. As I responded to a comment on another blog - it is impossible to rain on my parade. If the showers are light I will just let it be. If the rain is heavy enough I will play in the puddles. If there is mud I will have fun by organizing a mud wrestling contest. Now - on to enjoy a swim on a warm sunny day. Spiritwoman ^i^ |

Hi Spirit! It was so shameful that a woman has to be questioned about whom she is sleeping with. I sleep with my husband obviously, why is she so concerned about me and my husband. She even questioned why I was posting pictures with him.. oh my.. is she attracted to my husband? I would only ask a favor to these people to leave us alone! It was been for several months now or more that they are abusing us verbally. Look, the devil never win! So... I have faith, God will take care of it.! "The only way to have a friend is to be one."

Yeah, I can only wish I weren't human as at times I am ashamed to be considered to be one. Like you I stay here becasue those I like to keep in contact with far outnumber the rest. In reality they are a very small minority. Such a shame that so few people can cause so much chaos. I should be quite used to doggie doo by now. I once had 5 large dogs at the same time. Getting spoiled by only 1 cat and help cleaning the litter box. Spiritwoman ^i^

glad you got a laugh - it was intended to use humor to make a point I was blocked from replying but the accusatory blog came down right after I wrote this. Seems I mortally offended someone becasue I had the audacity to share some intelligent comments with Don and offered Betty some kind words becasue of how she is being treated. Christianity has been co-opted by all kinds of people and used to justify their actions and behavior, because o f course God is on "their side" in their ...um...minds..as though God has any interest in politics or cultural or societal issues. Seems to me that His interest ( I do believe in a Divine Being) is in the outworking of His teachings in the world and in our lives and in our relationship to others, i.e. in "taking responsibility for our humanness". Solely on that basis, many who claim to be Christians fall flat on their faces. I include myself in that category. It is an ongoing, daily work, and not an easy row to how. “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. I actually have a topical Latin temper but learned to control it and rise above it. Had to if I wanted to stay out of jail. I don't know if you remember a blog I wrote about what happens when I do loose my temper. I don't have any control of my psychic energy. Only a few people who have seem me get angry in the past 30 years. Those who have seen the electronics totally disrupted like cell phones failing, TV's going on and off and the electricity to the entire house go on and off. I jokingly ask people "have you ever seen the movie Carrie? Well you don't want to piss me off." Truth is it scares me too so I had to learn how not to loose it. I would not be here on sff if ignorant manipulative people could get to me. Spiritwoman ^i^
