~~~~It is over!!~~~~
I showed up for the court hearing today over the no contact order..... I was really hoping that she wouldn't show up but she did..... and surprise surprise she wanted to contest the no contact order which basically means that she wants the judge to dismiss it.... so that meant we had to have our little hearing under oath.... I testified first and she was able to ask me questions but was not suppose to respond to my answers... in other words..... no arguing.... she had a very difficult time following the judge's orders on that.... he had to reprimand her 3-4 times and the last time he turned to me and told me not to answer the question and again reprimanded her and asked her if she was going to be able to follow his orders or not...... so then it was time for her to state her side and she denied everything.... denied ever telling me that I would have to legally evict her.... etc etc etc..... I told the judge that I didn't have any questions for her because it was just hashing everything again and if she is denying everything... what is the point.... so bottom line he dismissed the no contact order.... it seems that aggressive and hostile behavior is not enough.... if the person has not laid hands on you....
I have such mixed feelings about the whole thing.... it sort of feels like she won although I did get them out of my house... and I have a HUGE problem being falsely accused of things.... it shouldn't matter I guess but it does bug me... so anyway hopefully this is the end of it but I won't be surprised if she doesn't try to make a case against me for something else.... I have since been told that she is very vindictive...... ugghhh I really hope this is the end of it.
On a brighter note I was trying to make some sort of a positive out of the whole situation so took these photos of some of the artwork in the courthouse....
Beautiful artwork. I hope it's totally over and you never have to hear from the woman again. You are such a kind person and it makes me sick that they were so nasty to you. You deserve so much better.
Paws so sorry you had to endure this junk. Glad it is over for you.
Please change your locks, watch your animals, and be alert to things around you.
I wish you nothing but the best.
Not continuing the order is pretty routine from what I have seen. Just means the judge does not think she ist a physical threat to you, not that you were right or wrong.
Just be glad it's over and be sure to follow the good advice others gave about staying safe.
Thanks for letting us know how you got on, was a bit worried. Hope it all can just fade into a faint memory.
If you want good government security for free watching your place 24/7. Just stick a Pakistani flag and ISIS flag either side of your front lawn. If they ask questions tell them it was your tenants and they've left them behind.
By the way, beautiful courthouse ceiling. I don't think I have ever seen one like this in a courthouse.
Hi pinkpaws, You're the winner, you held on to your dignity, had all the facts correct,so if I were you, I'd try and put it all out of my head. As I head in AA, dont let anyone live rent free in your head,
Your pictures are beautiful.
