Dream

I used to believe in the dream. The fairytale ending. Boy meets girl, they fall in love and get married. They live happily ever after with , grandchildren and great grandchildren around them like leaves from a silver maple in the late fall. I would still like to believe. But, it's so dificult. When you've been lied to, cheated on, screamed at, left and dumped the dream goes away. Now to have a wonderful friend is all I feel I can hope for. And that's all right. I'm good with that. A friend to share everything with. Our triumphs, sorrows and everything in between. A friend who will spend a few days with me when we can and who will want to make love like there is no tomorrow. A friend who wants to ski or kayak or just snuggle with me. A friend who will last till the end..... I still dream..... Just a different dream.

Hmmm, some very good points have been made. I tend to go along with what neonlights said (hugs, Witchy!)---"If you don't have a dream....how you gonna make a dream come true.".

I still have the old dream hidden away back there...I had a wonderful marriage but time and circumstances are so different now. It just doesn't seem too likely or even possible. I think you're right, lump...Time to cobble out the form for a new dream. Lol, I'm just not sure what it is/could be exactly.

Wishing us all luck in finding whatever form the dream might take for each of us.

Hi Lumpie: In the past it was a lot easier to find a relationship than it is now. None of my marriages or relationships has worked out. I hate to be alone but I realize now that I am a very bad shopper when it comes to people. Also I just don't have the energy to start dating again and don't think I could survive getting hurt again. I think the internet has made it ten times more difficult to find a relationship. Everyone lives so far away and there is way too much competition and a lot less trust. I hope you find that special person as you deserve it. Good luck.

What you're looking for is the icing on the cake and theres no reason why you should not be lucky. Good luck.
