The lighter side Why does everything taste like chicken? I look for you in the ads every Wednesday and dash to the market when I see they have adverts for pieces of you But they lie, those ads. The brains they listed are not yours but ugly pink and grey dead things wrapped in cellophane Not alive with humor or barbed with wit and deliciously delectable parrying challenging every conversation. And that heart so small stuffed into a package with so many others so cold no pulse no love Definitely not yours Nor those breast and thighs remotely comparable sickly small things awaiting a stew pot nothing sensuous nothing stirring. Nothing alive. Not dancing and singing But lying dead and cold in their case Instead of merrily in love with me. Nothing Beats a Shower. Nothing quite beats a shower in the evening. The last chore of the fading day. A time to stand under the pulse of nature blasting away at the accumulated dirt eroding cares carrying into the Oblivion of the drain the turmoil and sins of the day and under that welcome and invited pressure we stand and relax and cast sighs into the steam as muscles assaulted by heat unwind, relax from the threat of the day and allow us to contemplate sleep. But there is nothing that beats that first thing in the morning Shower. Standing in porcelain soap suds fly from skin and scalp and we crinkle a brow or two as we assume the challenges facing us in this new dawn often forgetting to be thankful that we have yet another chance to so stand catching those echoing few morsels of last night’s dream. We follow a wandering mind skidding through the steam racing as again revisiting a memories of youth. But perhaps even now, like then, the shower is nothing more than an excuse to run naked through my memories. Just because you have silenced a man does not mean you have changed his mind. |

I will never look at the meat department the same again. As for the shower - mine is a long hot soak in the bath tub with scents and candle light. Spiritwoman ^i^

Mext time I take a shower I'll bring a piece of meat with me. If I'm going to be all wet, I might as well be able to eat it too! Seriously... very few people here think before they speak, I find it refreshing to discover something new. It's outstanding,

My daughter told she doesn't care to go out because it's such a "Meat Market". So that's what she was talking about. I think I might become a vegetarian. LOL  The wealth of a soul is measured by how much it can feel; its poverty by how little. W. R. Inge
