Acrazy day..and an unusual visitor. I should have stayed in bed this morning, started at six and worked till about two get a pile of paper work done..double whammy.Canada and UK. They seviced my gardon tractor..hey, blown head gasket. I tried to use the walkbehind, but these old arthric hands have a hard time holding those levers...any way burnt my hand pretty well,,,not paying attention. Maybe see if I can put the tractor up a tree. actually I'm a wild Kamakasi, whatch out..lets she what this baby will do..well that was me. Heading back to the house I noted a personage wearing a crown..wow and as he slowly and regally approached the hous I got his picture.....What fun  Most welcome my friend...I bid ou welcome

Robyn, as wife and executor, I have responsibilities. All of Rob's pensions have been stopped and they won't even look at my widows pension till all forms are completed and documentation sent. I also heard from the Army, after I told them of Rob's passing, I guess there are some new rules and he may have qualified for a pension anyway (he was 2 years short)..Today I go to the bank and immigration offices. All things that need to be done. I'm alone doing this, but he is my husband and I'll take care of him even now. It'll all get done, but I am beginning to wonder if I can really handle this large place..oh I know I can, but will it be a 24/7 job....not jumping into anything...Hugs Erna

I have never seen a snail like this.......can I say, Beautiful? There are tracks on the patio occasionally but I have never seen if it is the big ugly banana slugs or snails. Love to salt them, you can almost hear them screaming!!

Exhale Galpal !!! Yes, there is sooo much to do both in house chores & paperwork. I think that you're like me and want to get everything done and out of the way. Just be careful to stay healthy, and to not rush legal decisions. Although you may feel that you are ready, it may be too early yet. I look back at a couple of decisions that I made in the three months after Eric died and just say, "What was I thinking!!" I did think that I was handling things rationally at the time....LOLOL or Sighhhh.  Hugssssssssssss!!!!

Thanks Rocket...I actually did a lot of prep work before...all documents were found and I was quite well organized..mind it's not staying that way. Other than pensions and getting all his government papers, cards to the right place, I'm doing OK..seeing my financial adviser today..she'll keep me on the straight and narrow. Everything was either joint or in my name....no other beneficiaries...should be straight forward...but remember I'm talking to gov. agencies in two countries..or should I say computers. It's much easier to get a real person in England and they are ever so nice and very helpful. I'm getting their GF...day at a time.

These little snails are everywhere...about the size of a nickle. They climb the side of the house...see one sitting on the window, they are all over the shed..like damp. The grand kids love to go hunting..now there are a lot of empty shells..that's OK..but if still occupied he has to be released..they are kind of cute, never did me any harm....so we don't harm them. Now I have a squirrel that likes to jump on the screen in the patio doors and give me what for..now I'd like to have a word with him about the rips in the screen and what he plans to do about it....

FF no hun...just a little garden snail....couldn't eat him anyway..he's my company...mind you people eat winkles and they are much smaller..sorry..not an escargot connoisseur..
