Just a taste of things to come. Not quite ready for old man winter yet, I still have apples to pick, storm door to put up, calking to do and grass to mow. Need to put the winter cover over the central air conditioner and of course uncover and adjust the snowblower. Supposed to snow all day today and part of tomorrow. Thank gosh I have three days off until the crazy drivers learn how to drive in the snow again.    |

Here on the coat, it's 17 Celsius and the forecast for next week is sunny and temperatures in the twenties........but we got a lot of rain the last couple of weeks......after the August drought, the grass is green again and some of the plants are acting like it's Spring, with flowers blooming and leaf-buds popping up........

It was white in Edmonton as well! I was driving back to BC and the white was gone by the time I got to Jasper. It looked pretty but I'm glad it was gone.

SNOW????? TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY OF AUTUMN AND IT IS OVER 80°F HERE. SNOW IS A LONG WAY OFF. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR WINTERIZING.

Nooooooooo, Dinty, say it isn't so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Autumn is just now starting. NOT SNOW!!!!!!  I haven't gotten used to the word 'fall' yet...... Thurs, it was in the 90s and felt like 100..... then Fri. it was only in the 70s. Nights are in the 40s and 50s with days in the 70s. The trees here are still green, but the crops are all dry and farmers are in the midst of harvest. Have been thinking of you, and hoping all is well, but hadn't even considered that you would be getting winter weather yet. Take it easy, you aren't getting any younger, you know!  Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.
