The bottom picture is of two of my friends, Bob Hargraves and Kim Kizer, helping me decorate our Christmas tree at our basecamp - 1967. Both of these guys made it home.

So many never made it home. Thanks for the remembrance!

My brother in law posts a daily remembrance in face book of some one of those who didn't come home alive. Thank you for your service.

I feel sorry for the poor lads who were sent over there.
The US government turned a lot of nice all American boys into killers.

I'm half way through Seymour Hersch's autobio.

He talks about something I never heard of.

Apparently US chopper pilots would hunt farmers working their fields and try to kill them with the main rotor.

When the got back to base they would pay local Vietnamese to wash the blood of the rotors.

I'm a veteran.
I don't get this 'thank you for your service' nonsense.

My father was a Korean and Vietnam war vet. He was not involved with combat but was in a hotel bombing in Saigon. My first husband was a door gunner in Vietnam. He made it back with severe PTSD
