Where was it?

Where was the most breathtaking place in the world that you have visited? What made it so breathtaking and were you able to experience it with others or just by yourself?

Hard to say as I have been to so many incredible places. The most impressive one was driving through the Alps in the back seat of a jeep with my 8 month old granddaughter sitting next to me. The most emotional moment came when we crossed the border into Italy and I set foot in my homeland for the first time with my decedents, daughter and granddaughter with me. I felt so connected.

Hi JRH: For me it was the first time I saw the majestic Rocky Mountains and then saw the bluest water in Lake Louise. That night while driving the whole sky turned into the most awesome light show, which was the Northern Lights. What a great day.

Driving along the Oregon coast seeing the Haystack Rock the first time. I was in complete awe. Driving further south and into Lincoln City. The coast there is so completely different from where I live. It is wide open and the sound of the waves pounding away is truly a sight to behold. Driving along the Columbia River gorge in Portland with the falls along the way. Getting back to home territory Grouse mountain in the background and the pacific ocean in the forefront. These are truly some of the sight I enjoy in our beautiful wide world.
