Many years ago...I was 15 and our Senior Girl Scout troop in California worked, collecting newspapers to recycle, cans and glass to recycle, any way we could make money, baby sitting etc. We worked toward the trip to Vancouver. It took us 3 years to have enough for us to go. I think there were about 10 of us. Our leader and her husband drove their station wagons. We camped all the way up and back and NO TENTS! One morning while sleeping in sleeping bags on the beach we woke up with a light rain on our faces. We took a cruise ship over to the gardens from Seattle and there in front of us was the House of Parliament! We were certainly impressed as none of us had seen anything like that. We went to see a stage play and a couple of people became famous for their acting. CAN'T REMEMBER THEIR NAMES! It is still a happy memory...I will have to find the pictures and post some of them.

This is by far one of the most scenic places in the world. I have been a few times. certainly worth your time to visit if you are ever on Vancouver Island. There is a sunken garden in Vancouver in Queen Elizabeth Park that is a much smaller scale than Butchart Gardens. Nice post Bondjam and lovely pictures.

I agree with you, it is one of the most beautiful garden we have visited too. We visited Victoria, BC last year. Thanks for the pictures, it reminds me that place. "The only way to have a friend is to be one."

I was playing a computer game and telling Alfie I wish I could think of the actor I saw in Canada. All of a sudden I said, Robert Goulet! Minds do remember I guess.

What a nasty little foul mouthed coward you are. You are the one who should be embarrassed.
