I notice an increase in the number of Qanon-type conspiracy lies on social media. They have cropped up on this site as well, increasing in frequency and swallowed whole by the Right.......many of whom were Tea-Party a few years ago. I am honestly flabbergasted. The lies are very obvious.....it seems that some remove their critical thinking function before they log in to this site....they are in some instances accompanied by glaringly manipulative visuals. Recently I pointed out this phenomena in a blog.......The blog had many comments ......no one picked up on the propaganda. When I said the blog was perpetrating vicious lies, I was ignored or attacked. One man demanded repeatedly that I point out the lies......they all assumed I was bluffing.......I pointed out another lie that a 12 year old wouldn't have believed and same thing.........he hadn't even suspected it was untrue....... I find this deeply disturbing.......the inability to recognize propaganda........to not check out an obvious lie and then, when it's pointed out, defend the lies as if they owe the lies their loyalty because they believed it initially. Loyalty to the con........the Trump consciousness......
