methinks thou doest protest too much

I get my morning chuckles when I read the latest blogs from the right wingers here. Their blogs are usually one of two things, either bolstering a failing president or demeaning the defeated Mrs. Clinton. It's been two and we're still getting blogs about Mrs. Clinton's emails. I guess one of the maladies of having an inferior mind is lacking the ability to think about anything meaningful. An American journalist was murdered and then chopped into pieces, but Mrs. Clinton's emails are the subject of mindless meanderings.

Good grief..................

Maybe it's because the case of the State Department " lying and signing "clearly false" affidavits to derail a series of lawsuits seeking information about former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's private email server and her handling of the 2012 terrorist attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya." , as well as the FOIA requests various people had to sue for, and got stonewalled, only came up before a judge last Friday.

Where were many of the missing documents? In her emails, on various laptops, including Anthony Weiner's. You can't not go forward with a case , just because Democrats want to bury the evidence.

Democrats should spend a little time working on issues, instead of embracing Hillary for calling for incivility, Eric Holder calling for physical violence, Warren's MeSioux movement, and paying thugs to rough up Republican women
.

Sir, I have a question. My question is a really rather simple one: Where was all this concern for our ambassador and three other men brutally murdered in Benghazi? Could you explain that to me?

" An American journalist was murdered and then chopped into pieces"

Do you have information the rest of the news media don't? Every news organization still has him as a Missing Person.

Nice try, but t's still a mindless endeavor designed to avoid facing the reality of a failing president. It's also the hatred the right wing tries so hard to deny. There are so many issues happening on a daily basis, reverting to already adjudicated cases from years ago is more deception than political expediency. Come on up and try living in the present instead of the past.

What makes me laugh in the mornings Skariff... is the absolutely absurd way they see their country and it's people. Democrats are corrupt murdering liars and trumpers can do no wrong since they are perfect!. The odds against that must be in the gazillions! They completely ignore the fact that human beings are individuals. That's why they can state that they believe in the human freedoms... while at the same time denying them to all but themselves.

What else can a reasonable person do, but laugh.

I don't think he is "...an American journalist." He is a Saudi Arabian journalist who fled to the United States in 2017. I can understand your concern about the method and means of what amounts to an alleged brutal execution. I used the word alleged because we are dealing with some serious speculation at the moment. No one deserves to die in this manner.

Were you equally concerned when Obama was lobbing Tomahawk Cruise Missiles throughout the middle-east, killing women and children by the dozens?

Perhaps when the judicial system does not deal with past events, you can say that. You know, like cases that take years to get to court, or ones that take longer to get to the Supreme Court ? Roe v. Wade began on December 13, 1971. On January 22, 1973, the Supreme Court handed down its historic decision. Much too old for anyone to talk about ,right?

The cases heard last Friday were never adjudicated. They have been stonewalled.

Don't confuse the Left with facts. Unless Skriff has information no one else does , at this point, no one knows for sure what has happened. I will venture a guess that if this happened during the Obama administration, he would have told us it was a Saudi matter . Then he would have issued the Saudis the same stern warning he gave to Putin. " You cut that out ".

Jamal Ahmad Khashoggi , born 13 October 1958[1][5] – disappeared 2 October 201 is a Saudi Arabian journalist, author, and a former general manager and editor-in-chief of Al-Arab News Channel. He also served as editor for the Saudi Arabian newspaper Al Watan, turning it into a platform for Saudi Arabian progressives.

Khashoggi left Saudi Arabia in September 2017 and went into self-imposed exile. He said that the Saudi Arabian government had "banned him from Twitter", and he later wrote newspaper articles critical of the Saudi government. Khashoggi had been sharply critical of Saudi Arabia's crown prince, Mohammad bin Salman, and the country's king, Salman of Saudi Arabia. He also opposed the Saudi Arabian-led intervention in Yemen.

This your "American Journalist" Skariff.

Oh for heaven's sake- he was correcting the statement that the guy is an American- he isn't.
And no, it is not his " right to question the rulers". That is a WESTERN concept, specifically a US concept, enshrined in our Constitution. In Mulsim countries , criticism can get you killed. In the old Soviet Union, it would get you killed, and I am sure Putin has a few objections on that front also.

It can get you jailed in the UK these days. While free speech is supposed to be protected in the U.K., there are countless “exceptions” that could land somebody in jail merely for what they say. On the list of verboten expression: speech that is abusive, insulting, distressing, indecent, likely to cause a breach of the peace, racist, incites religious hatred, seditious, obscene, defamatory, scandalous to a court by criticizing judges, and more. What is " offensive" is in the view of the listener. In the US, even hate speech is protected.

It's mind boggling how constipated the far right wingers truly are ... all plugged up with the endless and relentness compaction of sources on which to deflect. Nothing new or real can be absorbed with that condition. It's fatal.

I have yet to see any one of the mouth pieces here display an ounce of compassion or empathy for a man who was very likely slaughtered for his willingness to stand against a despotic government as a journalist. Rather, they - the right wingers - gorge on the garbage they're fed in daily doses about select news sources being 'the enemy of the people'. We know Khashoggi worked for The Washington Post. We know what Trump thinks of The Washington Post. Soooooooo, how 'really, really sad' can Trump actually be?

Whether the man was an American or a foreign national with a green car or a work visa has no bearing on the case whatsoever!! I fail to see how that's even a debate.

Now, we can sit back and watch how Trump will willingly accept the Royal Saudi's likely myth of a 'fall guy' ........ Just give them time. For some people.. there is NEVER "enough" proof to change their mind..Because what they believe needs no proof..

It's absolutely mind-boggling,the justification people come up with....when there is no "justification".. but he obvious.

for example.....The first Foriegn State Trump visited was the KINGDOM... two years have gone by and still there is no ambassador to Saudi Arabia.. Maybe its because we don't need one?
Or maybe Trump's circle is not wide enough, to assure keeping everything "in house"

So maybe we do have an "unnamed co-conspirator" as ambassador to Saudi Arabia.. A friend to power....the back channel guy...who will keep it all in house..
Jared Kushner?

Which never seems to makes sense.. Like a lot of things. like who's controlling who....The elephant in the room, or the guy getting the "peanuts"
The Jew in the woodpile or the Prince MOHAMMED..... Donnie's Money Machine or the Gremlin in the Kremlin..

OMG with all the lies and insults and dirty deeds from Trump on a daily basis, how can anyone possibly believe people can be distracted by some ridiculous accusation about President Obama or Hillary Clinton????

I just heard on the news that the FBI has been planning to move to another building, which move will cost billions. Trump now wants the FBI to stay where they are and not move, but the building they're in now has to be renovated which will cost even more billions than if they were to move. Trump wants them to stay where they are because he believes that if they move real estate developers want to buy the old FBI building and turn it into a hotel, which of course will compete with Trump's hotel there. OMG is this legal???????????

FOA bigblock

From BBC News this morning...

Journalist Jamal Khashoggi was killed in a fight in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, the country's state TV reported quoting an initial probe.

It said deputy intelligence chief Ahmad al-Assiri and Saud al-Qahtani, senior aide to Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, were dismissed over the affair.

"US President Donald Trump said what had happened was "unacceptable" but that Saudi Arabia was a "great ally".

This is the first time the kingdom has admitted Mr Khashoggi has died.

The acknowledgement follows two weeks of denials that Saudi Arabia had any involvement in the disappearance of the prominent Saudi critic when he entered the consulate in Istanbul on 2 October to seek paperwork for his upcoming marriage."

This is not the full article, you can find it for yourself...you don't have to believe me.
Ask yourself this...Why would a man be murdered for trying to arrange his marriage? Then ask yourself what you... as a professed Christian...think about it.

I would say that you will have to ask the people who committed the act. Do you have an answer for the killings allegedly performed by Jeffery Dahmer, Ted Bundy, Robert Black, Archibald Hall just to name a few? Yes I looked up the two Scottish names just for your reading pleasure.

Considering that Thou shall not commit murder is the 6th commandment sent down with Moses from Mt Sinai and later referenced by Jesus in his sermon on the Mount. Thou shalt do no murder, perhaps you should take a look at some who think that the taking of life from a baby before they have had a chance to live it is OK. Murder is wrong whether its done with a weapon or a scalpel.

I can only hope there are those who will not readily buy any such determination. At the very least, It should take an independent court of international stature, NOT people who are in bed together designing their own conclusions.

No, what is truly "mind-boggling" is that you and your liberal cohorts are so concerned because the Saudi Arabian government probably had a Saudi Arabian journalist killed in Turkey. But you have no problem with Planned Parenthood aborting more than 58 million unborn children.

National Right to Life estimates that, since the U.S. Supreme Court legalized abortion 43 years ago in Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton, more than 58 million unborn children have lost their lives.

As for building the wall or repealing Obamacare, it has not been for a lack of trying. You have been told this numerous times. Are you that dense?

Besides it ain't your wall, unless you suddenly moved and become a citizen of the United States. You still claim to be a resident of Alberta, which is still located in Canada.
Yes, I am dense.
Alas, I do not have the smarts that you so clearly have.

We are all Americans, so it 's our wall too.

Are you trying to blame me for the crimes of those men because I happen to be Scottish? How supremely childish and hypocritical of you...is this what you call "sticking to the subject of the blog" AND ALL BECAUSE YOU ARE MAD THAT YOU HAVE BEEN PROVED WRONG.

If that's the kind of allies Trump wants for America...along with Putin and Kim Jong Un, all of them murderers too, then you Trumpers deserve all you get.

The great pity is... there are millions of decent Americans who deserve so much better.

You are the windbag you stupid old man.

In places where women can have a safe abortion without any of the spurious tactics that US state governments have enacted in order to delay abortion, a scalpel isn't used. Up to the 9th week of pregnancy, a medical abortion is usual.....Suction is used up to about 12 weeks.

KILL THE BABY KILL THE BABY KILL THE BABY, that's your answer is it not? Why don't you put forth as much effort in educating these young women to make their choice before they engage in unprotected sex. No You would rather KILL THE BABY KILL THE BABY! . Ignorance is Bliss.

To answer that question in one word NO.

Remember you asked the questions, I guess you don't like the answers. To that I will say OH WELL. If you were not ready for the answer you shouldn't ask the question. It was just another avenue in your never ending quest to bash President Trump.

Talk about adult onset ADD! Good grief! He's representative of ONE thing - that is, how highly charged Trump's base really is. He's master-minded and doesn't even realize it.

I will answer your question, just go and read the first response I made. The rest were in response to your good friend Katie who has taken it upon herself to ask questions so she can twist it. You know a word twister is a person who hears what they want from a conversation and twists those pieces into something that benefits their point of view. I really don't give two hoots in HE)) whether you or any of your silly seven friends like it.

You seem to be unable to understand, even after all your years, that men have equal responsibility for engaging in unprotected sex......why do you call for educating only the women? Very odd.......And, by the way, I have been involved in birth-control education since the early 70's.....What have you done?....You are so ignorant that you actually imagine that being pro-choice is advocating for abortion.......

So...why even bring them up?

Those men have absolutely nothing to do with this blog and I did not ask you about them. Did you hope to make me feel guilt or shame because they are Scottish? Well, sorry... but I don't feel either. Those men were not Scotland, they were individuals who chose to commit their awful crimes. They did not do it because they were Scottish, any more than Dahmer and Bundy did theirs because they were American. Each of them committed their crimes because they, as individuals, felt entitled to do so.
YOU are the only who saw any link between them and me and whether you like my saying it or not... it is absolutely ridiculous... especially in the context of this blog. It was just another avenue in your never ending quest to bash me...and other Liberal women.

It shows just how tiny your mind actually is.

BB, your own words in describing masters of deflection:

"You know a word twister is a person who hears what they want from a conversation and twists those pieces into something that benefits their point of view."

Just look in the mirror and repeat this .... then own it!

Respectfully ET I will disagree with you. It appears to me that Katie, Lulu and now you have succeed in doing what the original intent of the blog was. To have a Trump bashing. Congratulations on your success.
