I feel the same way you do bijou and I'm reminded of a quote of John Heywood who in 1546 said: "There are none so blind as those who will not see".

It's really hard for people to comprehend that the loyalty to Trump is NOT unsubstantiated........
It's unsubstantiated as to what we want.. but it's not unsubstantiated as to what they want.

We assume that what we want is right.. so they MUST want it too.... it's not that they don't want it...It's that WE talk apples and oranges.

But they NEVER make that assumption....and in many ways that's why they want it so badly.... You see that's why we can tell them, but they can't tell us what they want.. Because they KNOW we don't wan it.

For isn't that exactly the same as what we do.. when we assume that it's only RIGHT.. that they want, what we want...So we ignore what they want.

Now that would be all well and good if we could compromise on what is Right..
But for US...RIGHT can't be compromised..
For them... well they'll take whatever they can get.. and be loyal because of it.

The Trumper's loyalty is unsubstantiated as to what they want in the sense that Trump has not delivered on his promises to them.......And that he consistently lies to them......

So, a couple of days after Trump and Sarah called for CIVILITY in the White House and Trump praised the First Lady for her campaign against Cyber Bullying, Trump called incoming House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff, "Little Adam Schitt" on twitter....I doubt that Trump is what they want.....I think they are authoritarians who are making the best of an inevitability and too proud to admit it.

The really sad part is that his minions immediately started to try and figure out if it was meant as an insult or if it was illiteracy........He also insulted a military hero yesterday.........I doubt very much if this behaviour is what Republicans want in a president......in fact, I suspect most of them cringe at his behaviour on an almost daily basis.

'As long as the 30% continue their blind, unsubstantiated loyalty our beloved nation will continue its slide into the doldrums of mediocrity when we should, at this tenuous time in world history, be leading the world toward those humanistic and even Biblical goals of Peace on Earth. The hatred, misunderstanding and misdirection created by this blind and unsubstantiated loyalty will sink our Ship of State and keep us from the lofty, but attainable, goals we once had. We shouldn't be responding to what we want to hear and see, we should be responding to what we need to hear and see'.

Why should the 30% hold so much sway - it doesn't make sense. A naive question perhaps but is it because (in part) the republicans hold the balance of power in the Senate?

What "promise" is that?

To build a wall?... TO KEEP "THEM" OUT

When Trump is building one the greatest "walls" known to man.

"WALLS" and "THEM"....Dog whistles and codes.....Those people aren't THEM, Those people are YOU

Donald's new book.. which follows the "ART OF THE DEAL"

"SEMANTICS FOR DUMMIES"

You got to get out of your own head..Stop thinking in terms of right or wrong.. It is what it is.

The Republican party did it to itself......The Division, the Lies, and the Hate.

Trump doesn't DO ANYTHING..Doesn't believe in anything but himself..
He saw the opportunity.. SO he took it.

What was happening is an individual ideas of right and wrong.. were being compromise by Party Politics.. so right or wrong was not the main factor

He saw that problem with our elections, our legislation, as our overwhelming acceptance of Party Politics.... What he saw, from the Republican party, was the hypocrisy of the Lies.. The LIES were believed but the Hypocrisy was unacceptable to Republicans. Republicans believe the lie.. until their elected official didn't follow through with it. So Trump knew he could Lie.. as long as he wasn't a hypocrite.

30% was all he needed.......to run the elections, to run the legislature and RUN THE PARTY.....Once he got it.. The leverage and blackmail.. was too much for the Republican Party to ignore .. IF THEY WANTED TO WIN.
AS long as he's got the that 30%.. He can't be ignored. He controls the Republican Party..He controls the elections, and he controls the legislature.

We all know it.. we know what 's happening.. we have always known the problem..
But we thought it took more than 50% to get it done...But not today it only 30%, along with the current state of party politics to get it done, and create the MONSTER....To kill our Democracy.

You can't just say that's wrong.. nobody's listening....You got to to tell that 30% to GO TO HELL..Nothing about THEM is RIGHT....They are WRONG at every turn.. they are fake Americans, and fake Republicans. Using Republicanism, like it means something to them... When they have looked into the eyes of Medusa, and their hearts have been turned to stone.

Certainly....You can

I am sorry I offended you.. wasn't my intent. As i agree with almost everything you say.

But it becomes redundant.. when it always from the same perspective....

Beating one's head against the wall...hurts one's head but does very little to bring down the wall..

maybe the road less traveled can get you someone place....others don't want to go..as everything I write is from a different perspective, on a road less traveled..

For me, my agreement with you, doesn't require your agreement with me.

Since you never write on my blog..As you don't on almost anyone else's....I'll just return the favor.

Thanks for your response. Do you not think with the recent election results the tide has begun to slowly but surely turn and there is cause for cautious, if not quiet, optimism; that the hatred of the 30% could somewhat be quelled if/when their fears are seriously addressed and reasonable compromise made where possible? I appreciate I reveal my ignorance on asking these questions.
