Just some reposted comments from another's blog. #1. You're leaving a foul odor that is difficult to wash off. Please know that I've often tried to see things from your point of view, but I find it impossible to stick my head up ur azz. Had to make a blog out of those two comments and my responses! Reason being is that I WANT folks to know that I'm definitely NOT a "holier than thou" person, and don't make claims to being holy in any way at all! Most of you know I'm a Christian, but I do NOT fit in to any Christian stereotypes. That's why those who try to nutshell me like that tend to fail. And that happens whether they are Christian, Atheist, or some other religion. It is my calling as a Christian, to let people see that Christians are not necessarily "good" people. I do that so they are free to consider TRUE Christianity for themselves, and not feel they'd have to become phonies if they should choose Christ. So, if you see me being crude, or committing other human foibles, thanks for noticing and I hope you now understand that "knowing them by their fruits" is not confined to their "good" or "moral" words and deeds alone. And the truth is, I ALWAYS SINCERELY hope God blesses people! And I leave HOW He chooses to do that up to Him! Often, that may mean He blesses them in ways they wouldn't have chosen for themselves. So, I will wholeheartedly agree that sometimes my "GBU" is a taunt, but it's ALWAYS sincere! Just hoped some folks better understand where I'm coming from now, and GOD BLESS YOU ALL! Gavin. |

Just to help keep things in perspective, Gavin left out his own comments on that blog.....here is the gem with 2 blessings that he insists is sincere.......we might not be from the South, but we have friends from the South and we know what this blessing really means.The comment is in its original format and approximate font.......""I'm" in denial?????!!! LOLOL!! Well isn't that cute! Bless ur little heart! GBU, Gavin How right of you to point out how viciously I conducted myself by responding the way I did to another blogger who had been so kind initially to try telling us in untrue fashion about a time period we had all lived through, as if we weren't aware of those times without his distorted presentation. Altho the response you quoted here didn't begin with that exchange. Rather, you cited the one I gave in response to that bloggers eventual cop-out by a simple rant accusing me of being "in denial." (I've checked with my doctor just to verify. There is no medical record of me being in a coma during the time in question so I'm confident my memory of those times is accurate.) But thank you once again for your service, and GBU! Gavin

You forgot to include what prompted this response. "You are so deeply entrenched in denial that there is scant hope that you will awaken in time." The author of this response seems to be trying for insulter of the decade. You saved me the trouble of citing the entire comment I referenced in my response to Lulu's "gracious" assistance. LOL! LOL ET! Fair point, and I've gotta confess, I'm as guilty as anyone else here. I need to remember not to go back and revisit blogs that are more than a day or two old. Or if I do, then resolve not to respond to any attacks that came after my last visit. You raised a fair point, I'll try to do better in the future. Thanks and GBU, Gavin

Upon re-reading my original post here, I want to clarify that I am NOT meaning to say that the traditional, normal Christian who fits that stereotype is necessarily a phony! (Altho I'm sure a few may be, definitely not the majority). That being said, the traditional Christians are often viewed that way by those who don't understand them or the faith. I apologize if my verbal clumzy-ness was an offense to anyone. GBU all, Gavin

I must give you credit for having found the most Politically Correct venue possible in your country for your passive aggression.......Christianity just keeps on giving doesn't it......employ some Christian words and phrases and acronyms and your aggression becomes invisible to the multitudes........easily done and very popular......because it works............but we are not all marks......GFU] GBU too, Gavin
