Art gallery on the ocean bed

It is ready for inauguration!

It is not on the surface of Earth.

Museo Atlántico-The Atlantic Museum is located on the ocean bed!

It is going to be the first underwater art museum of Europe and the Atlantic Ocean and could be found 45 feet below the surface, rather under the sea, off the coast of Lanzarote, Spain.

Two weeks from now, on February 25, the museum will open its doors to snorkelers and divers.

If you are a underwater diver, then you must strap into your scuba gear to visit this museum. This museum is worth visiting by specially those who like to visit underwater world.

It is the latest project of underwater sculptor James deCaires Taylor.

He is known for focusing on environmental and conservational themes in his work.
The most eye catching installations in this museum are a hybrid cactus-man, a depiction of the Syrian refugee crisis and an underground botanical garden.

Those who are not likely to travel to Spain now or ever, may view here bellow the photos of some of the sculptures installed there!

These sculptures are built from pH-neutral marine cement and are meant to attract marine life.

Happy Viewing:

Puzzles hello.

Those sculptures are amazing creations that are now installed on the ocean bed
permanently. Over time, the sculptures are expected to evolve into artificial reefs, hosting a variety of coral, algae and fish! The creations of the underwater sculptor James deCaires Taylor, have spanned the waters from the Bahamas to London.
Thank you so much for passing by this blog of mine. You will surely learn to dive if you wish to visit this wonderful underwater gallery! Have a nice week end, Puzzles!

Mary Ann, hello.
Thanks for your comment. I do not know whether they have any boat restriction or not. I guess that they will arrange everything that are required to visit the underwater sculptures once you go there. Take care Mary Ann and be happy.
