A wonderful man passed away today!

He kept himself alive until her only arrived back home from abroad last night. He took the last sip of water from her hand to drink a few minutes before he left to meet his creator! It was 2:15 PM my time when he finally left for the unknown.
May he rest in Peace.
This was a person who lived far away from his beloved kith and kin in a small island after retirement with his wife and until the end. He met his life partner almost half a century back in London first and then a few years after, in Antananarivo, the capital city of Madagascar where she went to join Air France as an air hostess! Though she was not in love with him at first sight yet he managed to convince her not to join the Airlines as it was not the will of God who has made two of them meet again in a most unlikely place in order to unite them into a holy matrimony! Yes, they married within a few months and lived happily there after! This was a happy mixed marriage until it ended at God’s wish.

He left behind him his wife and the to mourn his death besides others who knew him closely! May God give them strength to bear the loss and pains!

They remained married for 46 years until God wanted him back to His fold!

Quite a story. Very moving.

Were they friends or family?

Until they meet again, may God give them peace and comfort.
As a nurse in long term care, I attended many deaths, and have often seen someone hold on to life until the arrival of their loved ones. It is a touching situation.

Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

What I have seen is that when the child leaves the room, the parent will pass.
We were doing hospice care in the home when Grumpy passed - Four years ago on May the 15th. He had 8 kids, Biological, Step and unofficially adopted. They came all parts of the country to say their goodbyes. Ironically, the time that Grumpy decided to pass is when his biological son was boarding the plane back to California. My older son (his step-son) and I were tending him when he finally passed. I miss him but I know that he was glad to be out of that body.

The purpose of putting up the blog was to pay tribute to a wonderful gentleman who has since passed away and to share pains and sorrows with the bereaved family. I thank you all who have since left sympathetic comments at above in this respect. God bless you all.

MBN, hello. Thank you so much for your above blog relating to my hubby's demise. I appreciate it and you have rightly described him as well. Thanks for your good feelings and for your keen appreciation of my hubby. In such a sorrowful event, one with humanly feelings, does what he can in any way, to appease the grief of the other. Thank you again so much MBN. Thanks again for your tribute And I also thanks to all those who have sympathetically posted their good feelings and commiserations. I am grateful to everyone too.
My kindest regards.
Lisa.
