Moving between different points in time! Traveling backwards in time! Time travel happens to be a fascinating concept. Though it may happen due to unavoidable reason beyond our knowledge initially because we usually don’t perhaps take note of such time travels until some one tells us the exact time and date on arrival to our destination by air! A few days back, I was reading a news story about such a time travel that originated from Auckland, New Zealand. The flight was originally schedule to take off from Auckland on December 31st night but a ten minute delay in departure made it to take off on 1st January 2018 and when it landed in Honolulu 8 hours later, the date was still December 31, 2017 though the travelers were flying in a Plane that was not a Time Machine! This was not only flight that time-traveled from 2018 to 2017. Six other flights from Taipei took off in 2018 and landed in 2017 when they arrived in North America. Fascinating! Isn’t it?        |

I have crossed time lines before, but only losing or gaining a couple of hours, not a whole day or year. It would kind of play with one's mind, wouldn't it? To leave one place today, and arrive after several hours, yesterday! Time is man's concept, God is always in the present..... now THAT boggles my mind! Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

I have crossed time lines before, but only losing or gaining a couple of hours, not a whole day or year. It would kind of play with one's mind, wouldn't it? To leave one place today, and arrive after several hours, yesterday! Time is man's concept, God is always in the present..... now THAT boggles my mind! Stay well and happy always. Take Care.

Deborahsu... Though I have traveled a lot before retiring from active job, I had no opportunity to land in the previous or next year as none of travels involved last day or first day of a year! Stay well, deb and take care too.

Hi Looklook! Very interesting post ... The only thing I remember for the difference in time is the first time I went to Spain. I could not sleep for 36 hours. I can not sleep while traveling.   Trust in dreams, for in them is hidden the gate to eternity.(Khalil Gibran)

Very interesting blog LookLook. Back in 1970 I traveled to Frankfurt, Germany from Edmonton, Alberta. In those days we had to refuel so we stopped in Glasgow, Scotland. The darkness didn't stay long as we flew through one time zone after another. When I came back We flew via Iceland to refuel. It seemed like we were in daylight the whole way. The winter Olympics will be starting next week in South Korea. The time difference between Seoul and Vancouver is 17 hours. So I will be watching all the events probably after they are over depending on what time of the day they happen.
