The First Day of Spring

"If I can't recognize her
Would she recognize me
On this new day of spring?
I don’t know, don’t know!"

Come home you who dwell in my heart.
Do come out
Forcing the dream-door open,
Step into the crimson light
Revealing yourself to my yearning eyes,
As you flourish like a happy flower.
Come out from your momentary shelter
To stay for eternity,
In my tears and laughter, ripples of life!
Come home you who dwell in my heart.

Living where I do, it is sometimes hard to recognize the first day of spring..... the calendar may say so, but the eye may not see it. I guess it needs to be felt in the heart on those days.

Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

IT LOOKS LIKE SPRING IS MAKING YOU POETIC AND ROMANTIC. NOT SPRING HERE YET, FRESH SNOW IN THE MOUNTAINS, THE VIEW FROM DOWNTOWN IS BEAUTIFUL.

Sincerelytrue, perhaps we all become romantic when we feel the cool touch of the spring wind here in this part of our world on the first day of spring! Thanks for stopping by.

Mrs. Joe, We are lucky here in this sub- continent where we can feel the arrival of the spring every year. The 14th day of February is the first day of spring in my country when the people go out of their homes early in the morning to feel the cool touch of the spring wind. I agree with you that "spring needs to be felt in the heart on those days!" Stay well and cheerful always.

Archer, This is the time here to travel back down the memory lane. Spring is the most coveted season of the year when people like to go out of their homes on February 14, the first day of spring, to mingle together under the clear sky! I am no different. Thanks for stopping by.

Lovely to see buds and flowers peeping through the soil once again. We had a very wet and windy start to Spring here in Ireland. The last few days are bright and dry and much more Spring like. Thanks for your cheerful post.

Maudie, Flowers and buds are supposed to peep through soil just in time every year! But it may not happen always specially when climate alters the basics of our planet due to unwanted human activities! Even in such conditions, the first day of spring is well recognized. That is why one of our poets said:

"Whether flowers
bloom or not
it's spring today!"

I am happy to learn that the situation in your country has since changed and it is now much more spring like! Have a wonderful spring, Maudie.

Hi Look, thanks for your above blog. Hope you are getting on well.
I had posted my comments about an hour ago but it seems that it didn't show, however, as I like flowers and the nature, undoubtedly spring is my preferred season of the year. Spring brings us all of its beauty, it also brings the happiness, sadness, regrets, pleasure and all sort of feelings of the past and the present. I hope you enjoy this Spring and those in the future. My best wishes to you Look and thanks again for this nice blog. Lisa.

Lisa, delighted to read from you on here after such a long time. Yes, I am just pulling on as good as possible under the conditions that are now beyond my control. I trust that you are keeping well too. We all know that Spring is the season in which vegetation begins to appear.
"In spring the garden is a feast of blossom".
Your garden is no different, Lisa. I have picked up a picture of a garden from the net and posted it at above for you and others to enjoy. Lisa, take care of yourself and stay cheerful always. Please say hello to Emily on my behalf, Ninu.
