Textile in the Trees!

The images below show two busy male weaver birds weaving homes to woo females to start families in the trees. Amazing textile designers and courters! Are they not?

Wow that is simply amazing to see birds weave their nests of such magnitude. That first one looks like the horn of plenty upside down. Really amazing that these birds are so talented.

Sewg, I am delighted to read from you here on my blog page after such a long time. I hope that you are now keeping fine. These birds are skilled weavers! After completing the nest, the male weaver bird invites a female home by fluttering its wings. Amazing courtship! Is it not?

FUNNY YOU SHOULD POST THOSE PHOTOS NOW. LAST EVENING WE HAD A TV DOCUMENTARY ABOUT ANIMAL REPRODUCTION AND FAMILIES AND ONE OF THE HIGHLIGHTS WAS JUST THAT: INDONESIAN BIRDS WEAVING HOMES TO IMPRESS FEMALES.

Archer, I have not seen the TV documentary mentioned by you. But I had seen the Weaver Birds weaving nests to impress the female weaver birds when I was growing up at our ancestral village home long before this day. The tall trees that were chosen by the birds to build nests were all lined up on the boundary lines of our Paddy fields. The trees were chosen by the birds because enough grains were always available in the nearby paddy fields to eat. By the by, if I am not wrong, I can say that not only the Indonesian birds but also many other small male birds do many things including nest building to impress the female birds. These weaver birds are known as “Babui” locally. They are also called “The Baya Weaver”. I did post a blog on the Baya weaver on 12th October, 2016 on my blog page titled “A Bird Called Babui”. You can check it up if you feel like it. I trust that the blog is an informative one. Anyway, hope you are doing well. Be safe, dear Archer.

Archer, Omicron in my country is not alarming. Two members of our female Cricket team tested positive on return from Zimbabwe. They are recovering fast in the hospital. I am glad to learn that you are okay. I am keeping well too. Thanks for asking. Be safe.

Star, each of the species is a masterpiece of God's creation. A male Weaver Bird is no different. No doubt, they are talented too. Stay well and safe, Star.

When I see the intricacy of such work by birds, I must believe there is Divine guidance behind it.

You are right, Mrs. Joe. No doubt, Divine guidance keeps these birds' energy focused on completing such intricate work successfully. It steers the birds in the right direction. Stay well and safe.

Beautiful. The Weaver Bird is wise to court and not just expect. An Art the human race has forgotten.

Thanks for stopping by this blog post of mine, dear Twilight. You will be surprised to note that these male weaver birds would never live in the nests so painstakingly weaved by them if they are unable to attract females to start families in these nests. You are right about what you have said regarding us--- the humans! We have forgotten the art to court our would-be lifelong partners! Stay well, my dear Twilight. Be safe.
