Ratargul, the most beautiful swamp forest in the world
Ratargul is one of the few swamp forests in the world.

Adventurous tourists prefer to visit this swamp forest during Monsoon time by boat. Others would be happy to go there during the Winter season.

Ratargul is the habitat of birds, lizards, monkeys, and snakes too. It is the only freshwater swamp forest located in my country.

None of the photos of Ratargul posted below was shot by me.

 That's a very beautiful swamp forest! I can understand why lots of people would want to tour it.

Dear Archer, perhaps you know that mosquitos mainly breed in stagnant waters. Ratargul is a freshwater swamp. However, like other insects, mosquitoes are there too. Yes, I had been there a long time before when I was young. I wish I could be there again to enjoy the natural beauties of the forest and its surroundings! Take care. Be safe.

Pearl, you are right about why people like to visit this particular swamp forest. I was surprised to see a photo released by the US Embassy in Bangladesh depicting the Ambassador on a boat enjoying the beauties of Ratargul. Stay happy and cheerful, Pearl.

 It must be an interesting and beautiful place. I think I would never dare to take a canoe ride, especially if there are reptiles in the place...

Glad to read from you here on my blog page. I hope that you are well. The boats used here to travel are not canoes. These are flat country boats used in shallow waters. These boats do not sink completely in such waters. These boats are safe to travel.

 Obviously a very pleasant touristy place to visit..... the lushness is beautiful, and the shapes of the trees are intriguing. Nature has such beauty!

You are right, Mrs. Joe. This freshwater swamp forest is a beautiful place to visit during Monsoon time. Here, a visitor would discover nature at its best. The zig-zag style main trees are known as Koroch and Hizal trees. The root of these trees is on two levels, one in the ground and the other in the mid-level. During Monsoon time, the tree roots appear to be at midlevel. The water of this beautiful swamp forest is so clear that you can see its bottom layer.
