I worked in a big lawfirm and we really had to be careful not to offend anyone, but there are so many different cultures and religions and customs it was hard not to offend someone. I remember when I first started working for orthodox Jewish lawyers and had no idea of their dietary restrictions or religion. My boss asked if it would offend me in any way if he asked me to bring a thirsty client a cup of coffee. I said it was fine with me as I'm not a strict feminist, I'm Italian and like to bring people coffee, and Buddhism is the closest 'religion' I could identify with. Anyway after many explanations and apologies I brought the client a coffee but unfortunately I used a coffee cup from the non-dairy set of expensive dishes. Later that day after several of the lawyers had consulted their mothers and Rabbis it was decided the only way to purify the coffee cup was to bury the entire set of dishes in the ground overnight. OMG all this hoopla over a cup of coffee?

England, Scotland and Canada are all places I once wanted to visit. But, in view of recent developments, I'll probably spend my money elsewhere - someplace not inhabited by the likes of the far-left wing-nuts who wander the halls of SFF.
