    Quoting  :

I have often wondered that myself.

BTW, some stores here have signs on their doors that prohibit hoodies being worn inside the store. I wonder if that applies to the face coverings like this?

I don't think a bunch of politicians should tell us how we should look, but personally I thought wearing those hijabs or burkas was optional. We have tons of Muslims in Canada, so I don't think a new law like that is going to go over very well. What will happen if the women refuse to obey it? Will the police have to drag them off the bus? . Personally I think those coverings for women look ridiculous but if both men and women dressed like that it wouldn't look so demeaning to women.

all liberal/progressive ideals are simply means and methods, in my opinion. The Muslim love affair is a great example of conflicting ideals

Quebec also requires all schools to teach a curriculum that covers all major Faiths in the culture and includes general Ethics. There has been vigorous protests by some Catholic schools.

For many here, the wearing of a face covering whether a naqab, kerchief, balaclava, or mask of any sort in general public is an identification issue if a crime is being committed or witnesses need to be identified in cases of accidents.

The credit union at which I deal has a sign: No hoodies, sunglasses, or masks. Next time I'm in, I'll have to ask how they would handle the naqab issue.
