In MY opinion, if politics can ruin family relationships, or ANY relationship, there it wasn't a very strong relationship in the first place! But I question, what kind of a publication would post such an article to try to tear apart a family, the very building block of our society? Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Ohhhh Maisie, what can I say ... if you keep up this ridiculous harping about Canadians the people in the 'red' coats are going to search you out and have a riot in your house! They will take you away to Kingston prison and make you eat English muffins and poutine and force you to watch Rick Mercer on the telly. It's clear you know little of Canadians, we as a people do NOT riot, but every country including Canada has lunatics and misfits that get out of line from time to time but we don't telephone Lizzie... she's got enough on her hands with her own tribe of misfits. Do you have any hobbies Maisie, do you knit or crochet or scrapbook or the like? I would suggest that you find a hobby ... and in doing so spend less time waxing poetic over Trumps escapades. Girlie... do you really NOT SEE the precarious position your country is in now that the orange buffoon is tweeting to the world what a deranged individual he really is?

Trump is NOT my problem - he's yours ... and you're right... I don't like to travel to the states because of your gun problem. I don't feel safe! I'm not saying that someone is going to target me as a Canadian but I am saying that I could be in a mall when some nutcase decides to go on a killing spree. The chances of that happening in the USA is higher than anywhere else in the world.

Maisie and Lizst ... you are entitled to 'think' anything you like, you are also entitled to stretch the truth, go 'over the top to make a point', and outright lie... they are all your prerogative. However, when you look for trouble you are going to find it. Please don't lose any sleep about the Syrian families who have taken up residence here until one of them decides to border hop! Maisie... I agree with Pat... the subject of this blog has got to be a joke, no reputable magazine, and GQ is reputable, would print this for real. I would suggest that you contact the magazine for the truth of the matter. In the meantime I'm taking it as a joke!

Thank you for telling me what you said in the comment...accuse me as much as you like, of deleting it...I really don't care. If you had bothered to research just a little more thoroughly you would have discovered that the Riot Act was repealed in 1967. Here it is in black and white. The act, whose long title was "An Act for preventing tumults and riotous assemblies, and for the more speedy and effectual punishing the rioters", came into force on 1 August 1715. It was repealed for England and Wales by section 10(2) of, and Part III of Schedule 3 to, the Criminal Law Act 1967. And in Scotland in 1973. That's the trouble when you research someone's blog just to prove them wrong you only go as far as getting the answer you want. If I'd seen your comment...I'd have told you that...no need for deletion!

Canadians aren't much into rioting.....The last one was in Vancouver, over a hockey game......there was one in the 60s in Montreal over Francophone issues, one during the Winnipeg General Strike of 1919, I think it was, and one that I witnessed in Prince Rupert, in 1958....over Racial issues. The article though......It's satirical.....The author's tongue is obviously bulging out his cheek, LOL......Speaking of Totally Unaware......
