While reading your blog and comments, of which I do agree, an old saying came to mind............ "absolute power corrupts absolutely". We sure see examples of that in our government and some businesses.
I do use face book to keep up with many of our SFF who are no longer in SFF, and other friends and family. I see a lot of those ads, but just skip past them..... the only ones I usually read are the memes that friends post.
Not a fan of Diamond and Silk, even though I agree with their message, but the censorship is ridiculous! A platform like face book should either show both sides of an issue or neither.
As for some people being shocked that their information is shared with outside applications, I think that is their own fault. We have the option to put as little or as much on our page as we want, and some folks sign on and play every game and application that gets thrown at them and they accept as "friends" everyone who asks. Why become "friends" with friends of friend's friends?

Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Maisie I think you're confused about Facebook's obligations. Technology always runs ahead of the law ... my guess is Zuckerberg hasn't broken the law.

Do you want to bring back the "Fairness Doctrine" and apply it to Facebook. LOL

The only reason people like Hannity and Limbaugh got their agenda on radio is because of abandonment of the Fairness Doctrine.

Sort of like Fox's "Fair and Balanced" claim?

Diamond and Silk were not censored by Facebook, it's all a hoax..Really, Maisie, do your research. Seems like you're just out there trolling for a Self-Righteous Indignation fix..........

Oh the irony......"FB is absolutely necessary now, as we have taken to playing live Trivia."

Most of the outlets portrayed Trump negatively in his first hundred days as 45 because most of the Trump stories for the first 100 days were negative right from the jump. Fox found a few silver linings, but even they could polish that turd only so far, you know?
