Have you ever collected things of value? I have about a dozen blown glass swans of different colors on top of my kitchen cabinets. Do I "need" a dozen? No, but I like them. I only use one or two at a time, but I like to pick from the ones I have. Oh, and I have about 20 pair of shoes. I can only wear one pair at a time, but I like having several pair to pick and chose which ones I will wear today. The same with my shirts and my pants. Many of our knife customers have dozens of them..... all different colors and designs. Stamp or coin collectors have hundreds of specimens. And the same can be said about folks who own multiple guns. They collect them because of various characteristics of each one. A gun is not a gun is not a gun...... each has its own personality. So who has the right to tell someone that they have too many? Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Do you have figures to back up that guns used in the crimes are stolen from law abiding citizens? I know we have heard about some of that happening, but what about gun shop and store robberies, and other avenues to obtain an illegal gun? Gangbangers and drug dealers need guns to protect themselves against other gangbangers and drug dealers. Honest, upright, decent, church going White Americans have no such need. Personally I would hand out guns to gangbangers for free. The more of each other they knock off, the better.

Much of the 2nd amendment is unclear. E.g. one can easily argue that it only applies to a 'well regulated militia'. That sort of militia no longer exists. If a ban on fully auto long guns is legit, then so is a ban on other firearms.

Well, for starters, how about laws that every gun must be locked in an approved gun cabinet and the ammunition in another......You know, so at least the kids don't get hold of them.Guns are the third most common cause of death among children in the US.

Many honest, upright, decent church going folks like to collect guns, the same as some folks collect toys, stamps, dishes, etc. Others use them for hunting and sport. And then, some do use them for protection against those gang bangers who also like to break into homes and terrorize and rob people. The Duchess of Dodge City rides again. What has the form of government got to do with health care? If you can provide commie care to vets and seniors, you can do it for others. Your 32 trillion is another dodge. You know bloody well you would save a lot more with a single payor system. Why do you think the US has the highest per capita health care costs in the industrialized world. This has been explained over and over here. The monarch and GG can intervene and are at times consulted when the government runs into some sort of obstacle. Harper went to the GG when the opposition threatened to form a coalition and take over the government.

Canada is a constitutional monarchy and our head of state is Queen Elizabeth. But the Constitution limits her powers in government and she is generally considered a figurehead leader only.

You are going to have to supply some credible data for your assertion that people would be paying more in taxes than they would gain in savings from universal health care. Certainly some would pay more. The data indicates that Americans pay about twice as much for health care as they should.' Are you implying that good old Yankee know-how could not do as well as those accursed foreigners?
