"false Memory Syndrome" is not a thing. In the early 90s, when women started standing up and reporting sexual abuse they had experienced as children, the accused men, often their relatives, felt very threatened. Up to that point, the men had felt safe because society had conspired to manipulate children into silence. If a child told what the men had done to them, the were effectively shut down......shame was a handy tool, already present and ready to go within Christian teachings......the Catholic priesthood used it with great success. When a child told an adult, they were shut down.......told that they were wrong, lying, saying bad things.......dirty mouth, evil child........so the memories became muddled.........The abusers no longer felt safe.......all of a sudden, a lot of men....good men, fine, Christian, upstanding citizens were accused of terrible deeds. The men huddled in a protective brotherhood and a group of male Psychologists and Psychiatrists in California formed an Organization that came up with the theory of "False Memory Syndrome".......but it was short lived. No professional has used that term since the 90's. . In 1998, the Royal College of Psychiatrists Working Group on Reported Recovered Memories of Sexual Abuse wrote: No evidence exists for the repression and recovery of verified, severely traumatic events, and their role in symptom formation has yet to be proved. There is also striking absence in the literature of well-corroborated cases of such repressed memories recovered through psychotherapy. Given the prevalence of childhood sexual abuse, even if only a small proportion are repressed and only some of them are subsequently recovered, there should be a significant number of corroborated cases. In fact there are none.

You are saying she lied because she is a Liberal. Disbelieving a woman's accusation simply because her political beliefs don't coincide with yours, is discrimination. You seem to think that no Republican or Trumpist women ever lied, ever used abortion, ever did anything wrong at all. That is your downfall...your bias and prejudice.

I didn't say that that there is no such thing as false memories. In your blog you talk about "False Memory Syndrome"......and the "False Memory Syndrome Foundation" which was founded as I stated.......by a group of men..The history of that is factual and not something I made up because of "man hating".......get a grip Maisie.I clearly stated that was what I was responding to.
