TRUMP, TRUMP, TRUMP

I haven't been inspired to write anything for a couple of weeks, but I have gotten a big kick reading all the people who cannot draw a breath without bashing The President. It's downright unhinged.

In their defense, I see that most are just parroting or copy and pasting what the left wing media says, so maybe we can forgive them for not thinking for themselves. Personally, I am bottom line person. I dont care if you act like a boor , tweet with no filter, or brag too much. I want to see results, and those results are not being reported by the lame stream media. The economy is doing great, we are getting judges that will defend the Constitution, not make laws, ( except the 9th Circuit ) and we finally have a President who will defend the border, which really are the only issues that top my list.

I dont see the point of bashing the First Lady. She hasn't taken away your kids lunch, or inserted herself into politics like the last one. She has fabulous taste in clothes, and doesn't need an army of make-up artists to look like a girl.

What doesn't get reported in the media , is Democrat missteps or scandals. You couldn't turn on CNN last month without seeing Avanti's chrome dome, and now you can't find him with a search warrant. Come to think of it, search warrant is the right phrase. Where are the female pundits defending his accuser? Where are the marches and the " believe all survivors " crowd?

Anyone on the right was fair game. The New York Times went after the president’s family, asking, “Are Jared and Ivanka Good for the Jews?” This from the same newspaper that also complained that criticism of liberal billionaire George Soros is somehow anti-Semitic. - opinion writer Dan Gainor points out.
As long as we are on anti-Semitism- where is the condemnation of Louis Farrakhan for calling Jews " termites " a couple of weeks ago?

The nation’s top two Hispanic TV broadcasters – Univision and Telemundo – described Republicans as being “anti-immigrant” 35 times in just three months. Not anti-illegal immigrant, just anti-immigrant. On the news programs.

None of the media called out Kirsten Powers for calling every woman who voted for Trump a racist. This is the same woman who wrote a book on how the media is silencing contrary views of its liberal pundits.

A recent survey of financial journalists shows self-described liberals outnumbering conservatives 13-to-1, so dont try and tell anyone you are reporting much of anything fairly. Somehow, somewhere, not matter what it is, whether it's snowstorm in Minnesota or a gang shooting in Atlanta, it will all be Trump's fault.

And you wonder why people call you Deranged ?

Memo to incoming House Democrats: Investigate, investigate, investigate. Spend all your time on Trump's tax returns, and beat that Russia drum.
Trump needs the help getting reelected , and you need to ensure the Republicans take back the House. Thanks in Advance.

People can tell me what they think is good or bad....What they think is the truth...
I understand that those things have no absolute reality....They are perceptions..

We don't live our lives totally on perceptions.. there are rules.. And the greatest rule is an untruth is NOT a perception. A LIE is a not a perception... The greatest mistakes of history have been made when people accept that a Lie is just a perception. Like kings were descended from god....Like The German people in 1939 .....were the same a we are now..they understood that truth is a perception....but failed to realize the LIES they were told are not.

Trump is out prove a Lie is a perception..
He says what he does is the best ever for US...Whatever he touches is Golden...He's a God send...He doesn't make mistakes.... He fully understands that if he can turn that Lie into a perception...Then all he says and does can become a truth. A truth by perception.... As all the greatest dictators of the world have tried to do.

Maisie, it isn't the difference of opinions concerning our president and his policies that bothers me, it is the animosity shown to other who have a different opinion. And no one can argue that it is primarily the radical left media and Hollywood that promotes it the worst, inciting regular people to hate others who disagree with them.

I have taken a break from this site for a while, All the bashing has nothing to do with "real politics." There is a wide world out there. My focus is Europe. Most people reacted with relief when the democrats (Hillary) lost the elections.
Trump is not a laughing stock over there as some people here try to make believe and the main stream media, too. The people are waking up and notice the danger and damage imposed by "neoliberalism."

tanks for your insights. That was my understanding as well, but with the media so negative and the Liberal friends I have that parrot what they see on the television, I was beginning to wonder about Trump's standing abroad

Tell me something I haven't heard on Republican talk radio.

Your comments on Michelle Obama are parroted not to mention childish. She didn't "take away" anybody's lunch. She was an advocate of healthful living, along with the Obama Adm.

It's pathetic that Republican 'talkers' fail to acknowledge .. or just don't understand the connection between quality of life and diet. Check some statistics on obesity, who has it, what leads to, and the cost of preventable diseases caused by obesity.

Health wise we get what we are given. That said .. the most important parts of health that we can control are diet and exercise...and only recently thanks to Obamacare, Preventative HC is mainstream.

And Education starts in school.

Germany does have a strong Right-wing lobby, but it's gone there before with disastrous results. What I get from my European contacts is that Trump is considered not only a blithering fool, but a dangerous madman by most Europeans.

Hey buddy … as everybody knows Michelle Obama was an advocate. She didn't legislated anything. So to use your words she didn't "foisted" any "crap" on anybody.

And I've never heard the lunch room horror stories from people actually employed by school districts. Care to explain that?

And lets get real .. you don't eat at schools and you don't look in their garbage cans … and you don't know what the food tastes like … do you?

I remember a recipe Dan posted a few years ago....He called it a "salad" and it consisted of boiled macaroni, huge amounts of cubed cheese and lots of mayonnaise.....so his culinary tastes and concept of health-conscious eating habits may not be the best measure of healthy nutrition.....LOL

How many of them did you talk to? I have grandkids in the school system.... in two different districts, and all of them begged their mothers to send their lunches because they did not get enough and they did not like the choices.
Both districts soon stopped using the so called healthy guidelines.

I have been in Germany for 4 months this summer. Trump is not a major talking point among people, but in general there is a sigh of relief that Hillary lost. People attribute the upheavals over the past years to the neoliberal ideology/policies of the so-called democrats. When Trump is mentioned in a conversation people laugh about his behavior but they also support his "swimming against the stream."
The German right party had its beginning with the Euro currency and the concept of the EU. With the migration problem the party has more and more acceptance, and politicians from the former "parties of the people" (Volksparteien) are changing to the right wing, which has become the main opposition in the parliament.
They have more academics than other parties. Pointing at the former "Nazis" is the preferred "tool" to degrade that party. That party was the only one to talk publicly about the migration compact and forced the parliament to have a debate. Now the movements are growing against the pact. And, by the way, the Antifa, the brutal left wing fanatics have free hand to even send death threats to party members, etc.. That is tolerated by the current government.
Back to Trump. With him being president, the people of almost all European countries feel encouraged to stand up for their nationalities, identities, European culture.......... 11 countries out of 27 European countries have already dropped the migration plan. 3 more may follow, among them Norway. There is much more to say about who and what endangers the world.

Do we Conservatives get to say We told you so? We told you they were going overboard by opening their borders to every Tom, Dick , and Abdul ? But people like Angela Merkle was too busy virtue signaling , ditto Canada, France and every other country that has found themselves overrun by migrants that refuse to assimilate. Trump comes along and tells it like it is, and they hate him for it.

There seems to be a lot of Trump-lites popping up- Take a look at Tijuana.

Actually , she did take away lunches- many times. If a parent packed a lunch that did not meet the guidelines for her " healthy " eating, as in one-size-fits-all, everyone from a tiny 13 year old girl to a football player got the same lunch, the school took away the lunch. I wrote about it at the time. The teachers and students celebrated when the guidelines went away.

I dont listen to " Republican Talk Radio" , whatever that is. But you must, or you wouldn't know what it says.

If you think education starts at school, you are , sadly, abdicating parental responsibility to the state. Education begins at home, as does healthy eating- it starts with the first solid food you eat.

The big point that you are missing is that the relation of the quality of life and diet is NONE OF THE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT'S F***** BUSINESS! What sort of intolerable Big Sister government do you envision?

The Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act, the deeply unpopular, Michelle Obama-championed 2010 legislation that restricts school lunches in taxpayer-funded schools — but not the private school first children Malia and Sasha attended.

Typical lunch at Sidwell Friends " Potato Sausage Soup; Firecracker Slaw; California Chef’s Salad; All Natural Jamaican Jerk Chicken Wings; Sweet Potato Black Bean Bake; Sautéed Local Greens; Gemelli Alfredo; Sliced Pineapple"

Typical lunch for the rest of America: Lets just say Harlan KY school kids told the principal it tasted like vomit.
Michelle Obama swore she would fight “until the bitter end” to maintain the school lunches America’s kids hate and won’t eat. What was the result? A lot of very expensive trash and hungry kids. You dont have to ask Dan, you can read all the reports from the FDA about the waste, and how half of the kids starting opting out of the school lunch programs.

That is the beauty of Conservatism. One is free to play video games, eat fat, sugar and carbs without an extremely cruel, mean spirited pompous ass telling them what to eat or what recreational activities they should engage in .
And since you are in a judgmental mood, why not inform yourself about obesity? Only ignorance would assume that over or under weight is totally due to diet and behavior, and not a medical condition. The heaviest weight

Of course they are free to do that. And free to be as ignorant as they want. It's called living in the US. They are also free to suffer the consequences. Daddy Government doesn't have to protect you from yourself, and your bad choices. With personal freedom, comes personal responsibility, instead of letting you off the hook with the socialist collective. Freedom- it's a bitch. It's work.

Nationalism works great until..one finds out...

The Irish believe there is nothing like green grass of Ireland
And the Chinese think there is nothing like the Great Wall of China
And Mexicans think nothing compares to their Great Mexican Flag .

But American think there nothing as spectacular as the American Eagle.
Especially when it pisses of the green grass of Ireland
Shit's on the great wall of China
and wipes it's ass with the Mexican flag...
How about you find a country you like and move there?

Trump was not elected by Ireland, China or Mexico. He was elected by the United States people to take care of the United States. If you have a problem with a United States President putting the interests of the United States first, I suggest you figure out whose interests he is supposed to look after and get back to us.

It is my hope that the Democrat House and The Republican Senate will balance each other out and learn to work together instead of against each other. What I saw happening with the school lunch issue in our local community is the schools working with the local farmers and some of schools creating community gardens. The menu didn't change all that much, they just added a few more locally grown vegetables. I was never in favor of Obama and Michelle bashing and I have problems with hatred toward all things Trump, Michelle and Ivanka.

Trump doesn't do politically correct nor does he sugarcoat but if you listen in-between the bluster - you can hear where he's absolutely right. Also listen to Sarah Huckabee Sanders. She's awesome. Most Liberal will parrot the same insults they hear other people throwing out without bothering to really listen or investigate.

Good idea on the garden. There is a way to incentivize, not force.

My problem with the Obamas was they looked down on the " little people", and thought it their duty to tell them what to do. Mothers cant possible be trusted to pack a lunch their kid will eat, so we take it away, give the kid something Michelle thinks the kid should eat, and the kid throws it out. To Daddy Obama- we were all " clinging to guns and religion" and he had zero idea how anyone lived outside his little bubble. She was a terrible lawyer, got her jobs thru political connections, and didn't know what it was like to work your way up, like the rest of us had to do.
Too stupid to know you should have health insurance- the Government will force you.

In other words- they were the elite , and we the peons. They are the reason we got Trump. With apologies to Nietzsche, Had there not been a Donald Trump, it would have necessary to invent one.

So what? Looks like the problem was Anthem Blue, and the solution was LESS Government, not more. Why did Anthem Blue have what probably was a monopoly? Why couldn't you buy your health insurance, from anyone who sells it, like you can by anything else? Government. Buying across state lines and giving Anthem Blue a chance to clean up their act or go out of business is the answer, not to force MORE people to buy from Anthem Blue.

It is not the Federal Government's job to educate your children. It is yours. What does Government do? When Democrats are in charge, they take AWAY choice of good schools to appease the Teacher' s union. For example, one of the first things Obama did was take away school choice in DC, while sending his own children to an exclusive private one. Congress people, and local School Board officials send their own children to private schools , while mandating poorer parents send theirs to failing ones.

With the exception of the military, there is nothing that the private sector cannot do better than the Government.

Commentary, this is rich. You attacked me, even though I was right, and now you are trying to split hairs about whether or not it was the food. It wasn't the food, the kids didn't eat it. it was horrible. It is the lack of exercise more than any other factor.

I have reality, not " utopia ". Don't you know why insurance companies have monopolies, and you are forced to take what they offer? And dont you also know that many companies pulled out of the states because of losing millions with Obamacare?
Tom Price had a 3 page Bill in 2009, with competition across state lines, a Medicare - like plan for those the insurance companies didn't want, and it was rejected by Democrats.
The Dept of Education was created by Carter. For some reason, we managed to muddle thru for 200 years without it, and educate children. There also was no teacher's union controlling things , until they became big political contributors.
As for Michelle Obama's lunches- the schools dumped the program as soon as they could. The kids hated it. The parents hated it. The schools hated it. The only people who liked it were Government bureaucrats , and those who supplied the food that was tossed out.

The only believers in " utopia" are the Left who worship all things Government as the Messiah for all the world's problems.

Well.. insurance companies moving out... are not because they lost million because of Obamacare.. It's because they want to prevent themselves from losing millions from Obamacare..
The writing for them was on the wall....mandated coverages, such as preexisting conditions, and age inclusions...were going to cause too great an increase in premium, to maintain profits.....It wasn't about losing millions.. it was about losing the millions they were making.
For Doctors too.. it was about losing money......Obamacare and Medicare were similar in the fact the were going to cost doctors MONEY...to maintain the same patients.. thus lowering profits...

And the chips began to fall....Their idea that one could keep their insurance and their doctor.. Had nothing to do DIRECTLY with Obamacare.. but indirectly with the ability for insurance companies and doctors to maintain their substantial profitability...To do so.. YOU were cut loose... They were caught between a rock and hard place..They could not compete with government subsidized programs.. So that was going to be a loss..They couldn't join government subsidized health healthcare and just "accept' the reduction in profitability.

Obamacare did it's best to avoid.. but lowering healthcare cost...From the MACRO SENSE.. meant somebody was going to lose money...

You know.... like what YOU buy into.. Tax cuts create a deficit..that will be made up by increased GNP.. and increase in aggregate Tax..... Well.. Obamacare thought the same thing. That reducing healthcare costs in the aggregate would be made up by more people, and government paying adding to it.. But from the standpoint of insurance and doctors.. having to service more people for the same aggregate dollars.. wasn't such a "good profit idea" for them..

So let me ask you .. how did that worked out?
And then... How do you think the tax cuts will work out?

No, you're not right....nutrition plays a huge part in obesity......There are thousands of studies done by scientist over many years.....how could you miss it? Where have you been all your life?......What makes you think you are "right" and the experts are wrong?....

So what if the Michelle's healthy nutrition program didn't work.......Kids who are used to eating a lot of fat, salt, sugar, carbs aren't going to suddenly prefer smaller portions of healthier food.......Their parents need to be educated and motivated, It's hard to cut down.....sugar is physically addicting, especially for children.

Pretending that what people eat isn't a huge factor in obesity and diseases like Diabetes and Heart Disease may protect your tender feelings, but that doesn't make it true.......You say the most ridiculous things and insist they are true........remember when you said that we can't know that air exists because we can't see it?......
give it up! this started about a comment regarding the Omama Garbage Lunch, and you want to take it back to nutrition. I am sick to death of fat shaming. You have no idea what caused my heart issues or my wife's . Of course what you eat affects your weight, but the BOTTOM LINE: If you eat 2500 calories a day and sit on the sofa you get fat. If you eat 3000 calories a day and do a lot of exercise, you do not get fat

Because people like you say incredibly ignorant things and pride themselves in the ignorance........and then get all butt-hurt......wah wah....she hurt my feelings.......Isn't it time that you grow up and take full responsibility of your own feelings?......

why don't you stop being a boorish bully and take responsibility for the shameful thing you say. You lie to your self and think "I speak truth" You truly go out of your way to attack people

The Left are the most judgmental on the planet- as they lecture the rest of us on tolerance and diversity. If you do not agree with them, you get called names. Don't like illegal immigration? Racist ( I didn't know " illegal " was a race ) Don't think you should believe every woman who accuses a man ? You are an apologist for the R word. And so on. If face colors and private parts are different , but they all think alike- that is their definition of " diversity ".

You cannot assume the causes of overweight, any more than you can assume a skinny person is healthy. But dont try to tell Michelle Obama that.

As I learn from the comments, the meaning of neoliberalism is unknown to the people. Those who are interested in politics and seeking information can learn by watching videos on the tube: 1) This is Neoliberalism - Introducing the Invisible ideology (Part one, Part two) 2) Noam Chomsky - Neoliberalism & the Global Order (Full Talk) 3) The long article by the Guardian (08/18/2017): Neoliberalism - the idea that swallowed the world.

Happiness is when what you think, what you say, what you do are in harmony. - M. Gandhi

Maisie, I think you're a little hung up on Left vs. Right. Problem is, without drama and division your left with a bigmouth uneducated President slashing spending programs and grubbing the US Treasury.

That said .. I'm pretty sure that most Americans understand there's difference between a tax bill written specifically for the wealthiest Americans and illegal immigration .. and sexual assault.

Try thinking about issues case by case .. it's less confusing.

Apparently they dont know the difference. It is all subjective since Obama left office. Using tear gas at the border is a crime against humanity if border agents do it now, but was not even worth noting when the same border agents did it from 2009 to 2016.

We must believe Swetnick, Ford, and the other crazies that accused Kavanaugh about things that they say happened decades ago, but not the police report of Ellison's g/f, from a couple of years ago.

And I guess you will have to tell those Americans not to believe their lying eyes at the extra money in their paycheck, or that new job because a business friendly climate , finally, has been created. Why do you have a problem with profit kept by a company, instead of being taken by Government.

It all a matter of INTENT..

In one case tear gas was use to prevent the specific entry of those trying to do something. In the other case.. it had nothing to do with that.. it had to do with punishment and sending a message. It wasn't necessary, except for those in Mexico and Central America to get the message. Just because it works.. doesn't mean it's right.

it's a matter of being consistent.. believing one but not believing the other.. or giving one the benefit of the doubt and not the other..Those you accuse... are giving the benefit of the doubt to both... when YOU do NOT.. It's is your INTENT to not have doubt.. that is the issue.. not theirs

Because the INTENT of SOME companies is to KEEP all their profit... and the INTENT of the government is NOT to TAKE All their profit.. You can see it.. the way you want.. but the government is not TAKING anything.. Unless.. You just consider it "taking shit" from SOME companies.

Make America Great Again like when we had labor unions----control over interest rates----control over utilities-----control over the price of gold----control over banking when bankruptcy was not considered good business and there was a windfall profits tax on corporations. The little people were important back then.
Party On!
