But Maisie, isn't the way it is most of the time from both sides of the political aisle? The only time something is an outrage is when it comes from the other side.

Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

It's not being swept under the rugs....

Yesterday on the Meet the Press it was the main Topic.. the discussion pissed me off..

I don't wish to either chastise Northam not forgive him....I don't wish to accuse him or convict him.... We are who we are now, not who we were.

It's seems our world is changing with Trump....If one never admits a mistake,, if one confuses what the mistake is...then one is giving themselves permission to repeat it.

Specifically about Northam.. I don't know.. I don't have enough information to be able to make that decision about who he is now..and I can't make a absolute decision about who he was then.. I just don't know...
but I'm looking at trends, propaganda, and hypocrisy. more than anything else

Two trends that are pissing me off..
It's the commentators attitude about black people..Northam should resign because if black people knew in 1984 he wore black face.. he Never would have been elected in 2017..
Basically telling the world.. a Democrat can not get elected without the Black vote.
that Democrat need to cater to the Black vote...That Democrats need to make up for all the MISTAKES this country has made against Black People.. That apologies and admitting the mistakes is NOT good enough. That the racists of yesterday are no better than the racists of today..
Election are choices.. not absolutes about good and evil..

There's a lack of understanding about the commentators own hypocrisy.. "Holier than thou" attitude, and the idea of using Northam as an example , will change the course.. Their lack of understand about what creates division, what creates being uncompromising. it's a "Scarlet Letter" of politics.. and is unforgiving.

The idea what someone ONCE did.. defines who they are..
I certainly would not want to live under that gun..The irony is ... it only works on those who feel guilty, not those that are guilty... Those that are guilty, like Trump, and don't feel it. It doesn't matter what you think.. but it plays into their hands.. What Northam ends up doing... will define the OPPOSITE of what he actually is.

People will say, What about Kavenaugh? Weren't you doing the same thing
No I wasn't , but some Liberal were. My attitude to Kavenaugh had very little to do with what he did 35 years ago.. It had to do with what he's was doing today.. The ruling on the illegal who wanted an abortion... the lies he told in the hearing...and his failure to feel guilty about anything, even though he may not have been.

I can't avoid what I believe will HAPPEN....I believe that taking all the mistakes this country has made and combining them....would not equal the MISTAKE OF TRUMP.. I also believe that if this trend continues..that no Trump supporter will be able to admit their MISTAKE... without it following them for the rest of their lives. The division Trump started.... will be forced to live on. Until we are all DEAD.

One of the most amazing powers held by those of the Marxist cult is the ability to know the thoughts of others. To no one's surprise, the Right is inevitably evil, their Masters are inevitably pure.

Stunning, Nest Pas?

To understand what I mean, a person needs to feel empathy.. which "you folks" direly lack.
In kavaenaugh's time an place ,,, you have to be an idiot not to understand How his life style and attitude contributed. It was done within his sphere of influence. He didn't have to do it, to be the one that COULD have done it......IF he didn't do it in person.. he did it in the spirit, like the people around him did it.
my gosh... his lies were outrageous.. He exemplified a culture in which that event.. occurred. ........Look at his "friends".... birds of a feather stick together..You choose to believe him. A great guy, a great student, and an empathetic person.. He was none of THAT.. it's what the evidence shows .. Yes ..he was stupid., lived a stupid way.. like most his age have done.. But most grow out of it, and understand what we did... and.in that alone, he should feel guilty, whether he did it or not.

But the clue is.. he's not showing guilt..people would say that makes him innocent... I say it makes him guilty as hell... I tell you tight now... If Northam resigns.. he's probably innocent.. if he fights it.. he's guilty.... that's how it goes, nowadays..

you folks are making assumptions.. Which it seems you do all the time. You assume he's innocent, because he can't be PROVED guilty.
You assume someone like Hillary, is guilty without any proof whatsoever.
For me, Not guilty and innocent are two different things
there so many incidents in our lives where people are guilty but feel innocent. and are innocent but feel guilty.
I told my kids you shouldn't have to be caught, to feel guilty about what you did wrong.
I told a parent yesterday, talking about her kid who did something really bad. The way she was talking about it.... it was clear she was feeling guilty..and she had nothing to do with it.. she was innocent about it.. but didn't feel innocent.
It was HER kid.. that empathy and that responsibility made her feel guilty

A wife who's husband cheats on her..is innocent, but seems to always deep down to feel guilty. The idea of what we did to make it happen, or what we didn't do that could have stop it.....
It's an irrattional guilt... but everybody should understand it

Maybe "you folks" never feel guilty, and can't understand it. Guilty or not.. "You folks" never feel it. but you make assumption about it for other people. So yes, guilty or not, Kavenaugh is a lot more like "you folks" that he is me.. he's one of "YOU'.. and I don't like YOU.
