Well, I wondered what the Obamas thought about those portraits, and now maybe I think they found them ok. Obama's looked like he was levitating on that chair in a sea of green leaves.... a kind of 3D apparition. Definitely not dignified or presidential. Michelle's looked nothing like her, just a vague resemblance. It looked more like a stony faced black woman, with no personality showing..... just someone modeling a white dress. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Those paintings are awful but the artist has really mastered portraiture as they look like photographs to me. Other than ISIS or some terrorist group, who on earth would ever buy or want to see paintings of anyone holding a severed head. It's surprising that a gentle soul like Obama would pick that artist to paint his portrait.
