Tom, hi, Thank you for your nice comments and your visit, Tom, I am pleased for them. To my opinion, GSD are safer companions and guards dogs for kids. They do love kids sincerely, I remember mine, I had 2 of them here when my daughter was a baby. They even didn't allow my house maid to touch my baby girl in her pram when she was in the my garden, unless I was present there. Some other dogs like kids but not all of them. Doberman and Rottweiler must not be too trustful with babies and children, because they have a different temperament and may attack those kids at a sudden.. Thanks again for you kind words, Tom. Brings back memories. When one of my daughters was about 2 I could not find her in her bed. Looked around and there she was curled up with the dogs. As for Rottweilers I had one when my granddaughter was born. Daughter and granddaughter lived with me. The dog was so protective of the baby when people came over to see the baby she would station herself at my feet, between the baby and the visitors and give them that look that said "just try it." . But she was an exceptionally gentle dog. Forget attacking strangers. She would leap off the back steps and knock them down to lick their face. Spiritwoman ^i^

Spiritwomen dear, hello, Am so pleased reading from you again on my blog, thank you for your kind visit and your nice comments. It's true that many dogs like and can adapt with kids, as I said, not all, some may be for a while but some with different temperament tend to attack babies, specially when babies cry. If the Rott was well trained then it maybe protect the child if it was there for long with the baby. Many cases of attack were known also.
