THE FORCE OF "MOTHER NATURE"....

We have all experienced at least one or more types of Natural disasters in our respective countries or elsewhere. It is a sad memory which we cannot forget. As it caused great and extensive damages and distress. Specially when lives are lost during such occurrence.
Eventually, we can never fight or prevent any natural catastrophe from Mother Nature. No prevention, no avoidance and no forestalling, as the power of Mother Nature is beyond our capacity, it mocks the most sophisticated technology and always leaves us devastated, desolated, mournful and wretched. A misfortune and calamity which we cannot halt.

These calamities are:
Earthquakes; Tsunamis; Wild and Natural fires; Volcanoes; Hurricanes/Cyclones; Tornadoes; Lightning and Thunder Storms; Floods; Droughts; Sea Volcanoes; Ice Storms; Dust Storms. Avalanches, and Landslides

Each can be as strong or stronger than the other, devastating in its own way with an incredible power. It's like a competition of force and energy of the nature. When Mother Nature decides, none and nothing can prevent and stop her.

I wish my analogy in these respects, would give you a good reason to ponder upon. So, Live and let live, and live our daily life as happy as we can, since we don't know the hap of tomorrow.
Thanks for your read and for sharing your opinion..
I wish each of you, a wonderful day.
Lisa.

Well, all of us, who encounter such calamity of the Mother Nature at any time, the best we can , is to try save our lives, in any available way we can and have faith, as we are too powerless to challenge The Nature.

They say 'a picture is worth a thousand words' and those pictures speak volumes, don't they? Thanks for sharing.

Mother Nature is still in charge, eh!

I notice that in the past 5 to 10 years there seem to be far more extremes in the weather.

MrsJoe, gm to you dear,

Thank you so much for your wonderful words, for your usual visit and for your kind appreciation of my above blog. Dear Lady, when we happen to read and read about any catastrophe, it reminds us of ours. We recall the fear, the loss and the destruction, it had caused us at one time or another. Any memory of such, cannot fade away totally from our painful experience., Our thoughts go to those encountering such calamity and we pray for them. That's what is at least in our power to do. Such disastrous situations are not easy to deal with in any nation. Thanks again MrsJoe, may God spare us and save us from such events. Kind regards to you and MrJoe. Enjoy each day of your life, as none is sure about tomorrow.

Hi Rocket, good day to you,

We can't really be sure of what exactly awaits us at any time, in any country even with up-to-date technology. Some of these catastrophes may appear suddenly and cause what may be unexpected.
We cannot prevent it nor stop it, it will take its course, will do whatever it may, but leaving behind desolation and grief. I appreciate so much your visit and your nice comments, Rocket. I wish you and all of yours, a pleasant day. With my kind regards.
Lisa,

I look at your picture of the huge wave coming a shore which reminds me of the many times at sea when I feared the huge waves in rough seas would sink our ship.
Many times I had to tie myself down when on watch to keep from hurting myself by getting tossed around.

This gave me first hand experience of the strength of nature. This also upgraded my faith in a Supreme Being.

Thank you again for showing us the forces of nature.

When I was living in Guatemala (February 1976) there was an earthquake that caused much destruction throughout the country. Thowsands died. Then, in 1998, Hurricane Mitch crossed Honduras from North to South, then diverted to Guatemala and also caused much destruction. On television we saw groups of houses swallowed by the earth in vulnerable areas. The river that crosses our city grew up and destroyed two bridges. In its strong current it carried furniture, refrigerators, cars, etc.
Two terrible experiences I lived!

Ah, gm to you Hugh,

Am so delighted reading from you again on my blogs, even on my previous ones which I guess you had missed. Thank you so very much Hugh, I have noticed that you have gone one by one and left your appreciable comments on them. So correct you are Hugh, when looking at the above pictures, I for one, get scared of the strength of the Nature and the fatalities. Hugh, we are so powerless but we should keep our faith always. Thanks again Hugh. I wish you and your family, a lovely weekend. My kind regards.
