SFF 2006 Florida Bash I arrived in St. Petersburg very late (almost midnight)Thursday. This plane was late, that plane was late. There were so many still up and we talked until about 2 am. The first person I recognized was Maudie. I hoped Lothringia was close by and he was! Everyone hugged and whooped and hugged some more. It was fun to see faces of those we only see pictures of. Some look the same and some kind of different. I knew this would be fun but it was much more than I expected!!! There was a grocery store across the street, I laughed, we went all the way to Florida and wound up in a grocery store!! Part of the meals we ate in our rooms. Most mornings we had breakfast in our rooms. The first morning I was there quite a few of us met in the dining room for breakfast. A great buffet but at the price, we decided it was too much for each day. Friday was fun, more people arriving! Someone said, look who is here...Parisdreamer!! Whoo hoo!! Finally we meet!! Several of us wandered off in different directions seeing what was to be seen. There were several "SFF Matches"...that was fun. We CAN keep secrets! Guess they aren't secrets anymore... LUKN showed up, I knew he was going to but a lot didn't so it was a surprise since it had only been 3 weeks since his stroke. Saturday night we had our Mardi Gras Ball. Great food and great entertainment. Magic,Magic, Magic sang, then LUKN sang. Fossilfetcher thanked all that helped and some "fun facts" of we adults or senior citizens ?? skinny dipping and someone took a cooler into the lounge!! We may be older but we can still break some rules or show 'em we still got it!! I think the highlight of the costumes was Rusdur! He came in in a red flouncy skirt, red tights, red slippers and a red headband with a heart...Cupid!! Very cute!! Nope, no shirt!! Mssweething had spiky hair that lit up!!! Belladonna was Lucy, red hair, big bright red lips and dressed like her. We had a purple, trimmed in leopard print - ! Several great costumes. There were some great people and good lasting friendships. That is what we came in SFF for...friends! From all over the world, Austria, Wales, Germany, Ireland, England, all the way from down under Australia, all over Canada and all over the U.S.A we came to have fun and fun we had. We should all thank fossilfetcher and justLucy, Sertj and Ed and many more that helped in any way. I sure hope they are already planning another one next year!! |

It was great meeting you. Now when I read some of the blogs, I not only see a real face, but also hear a real voice. It was great.

I heard about that. SFFers were thrown out of several places on the resort.  Us seniors just don't know how to behave ourselves, or we don't care to
