Talked to Lexxie I just finished talking to Lexxie and she is pretty down today. On Friday the Dr. had the results of the MRI and the pain she has been complaining of in her good leg, he said she has Osteomyelitis and Cellulitis. She has a lesion inside the bone. He wants to continue with the Vancomycin for another 4 weeks, she has been on it for 2 weeks, then take another MRI. She will discontinue the Zosen she has been taking. The Dr. said he will deal with the lesion in 4 weeks after the MRI. She may have to go to a place in Highland Park, IL called Manor Care. She is going to try to go home and asked her sister to bring her insurance papers to see if her Medigap will pay for her IV (Infusion Clinic) daily if she is allowed to go home. She will talk to the Dr. tomorrow when he makes rounds early afternoon. I wrote the place and the phone number is eight4seven-two six six-9 two six six. Tomorrow I will write another blog to let you know if she will be at Manor Care and post the address too or you can look it up on Google. If anyone has sent cards they will be forwarded to either Manor Care or her home, so she will get them. If you call Vista Medical Center where she is now, they will only tell you she has been released, thanks to the privacy act. Lexxie said she will be released tomorrow, so say a prayer that the Dr. will allow her to go home for the 4 weeks. She will be able to do things herself as she is a nurse. I hope this makes sense, I was making notes as she was talking. She asked me write a blog as I was the first one she has talked to about this. |
