I can't believe I am writing this...a gift?? Alfie came to visit about an hour ago. My granddaughter is getting married Saturday and he came for the wedding. The rest of the family is coming tomorrow from Colorado and Ohio. Thank goodness for a big 4 bedroom house. He has been telling me he is bringing a surprise and said I may not need to make a cake (Mango Cake that Justlucy posted the other day). It sure smells good! He pulled in the carport and I was standing there waiting. He was just barely out of the van and he said, "Here's dick for you". Right in front of God and everybody and the playing next door!!! hahahaha Ok, for those English people, it is Spotted Dick! Dick in a can!! Whoo hoo! We Americans need to take lessons, now they "can it" and it is spotted no less!!!  By the way, it is and English pudding.He also brought some Birds (brand) custard in a box to go on it. I have a goofy - yes, she comes by it honestly - that will get a kick out of it. I will share it.

Alfie is leaving Monday or Tuesday. I hope Tuesday. Depends on the closing of his house. The wedding is today at 4 pm. I hope the weather hold out. It is very stormy looking north of us. As I always say, Happy the bride the sun shines on. Sun comes and goes. Arrrrggghhh, the wind is picking up. We will try the Spotted Dick tomorrow now that we are all together. The weather turned out to be very pretty, had a bit of rain earlier. The reception was beautiful, the wedding wonderful. Briley made a beautiful bride! Dusty (the groom) cried and so did his brother, the Best Man. We ate, we danced, we had a great time. Brandee, Briley's older sister was Maid of Honor. Hugs to Maudie and 'specially to Billy.

Alfie is leaving Tuesday morning. The wedding was beautiful! Briley was a beautiful radiant bride, Dusty was a proud groom and cried. His brother, the best man did too. Well, actually just tears running. The reception was gorgeous! We ate and danced and had a great time. The weather turned out to be nice, had a few showers during the wedding but cleared before all came out.
