Toolkit for a Despot One requirement to get and maintain absolute control is an Enemy. Something/someone you can use to make people sacrifice their freedom and money. Hitler had Jews. Mao, Stalin and Pol Pot had "The West". Barry has taken it to a whole new level. Since he refuses to confront our real enemies, he invented one: GLOBAL WARMING "Our greatest national security threat" I have to admire its brilliance: you don't (necessarily) have to kill anyone. With a group of "scientists" willing to support anything you say, we can be winning or losing by whim. Endless opportunities to pass laws to control our behavior (private and corporate). A bottomless pit into which to dump money. |

Wars used to be nation against nation, now it's against the abstract like terror and global warming. War has always made money, so I guess it had to be 'redefined' to cash in on it. There's also a 'war' against free speach, it's called "My right not to hear what I dont like." Where will it end? A war against music, the arts etc? Silly? Probably ..... but then ..... Judgment Day will be interesting - and all paths lead there.
