For Our Resident Drunken Insect

Regarding the SolCal Shooter: Yes, he served in Afghanistan (Marine). Yes, it was a "hot" province (are they any others in that part of the world?). Yes, he was busier doing PR work than being the warrior he was trained to be.

Now Jiminy Cockroach thinks PTSD is somehow funny. Speaking from personal experience, it is not. It would be unwise of him to share his stupidity with an Ex-Military sufferer - we sometimes don't have the restraint we should.

But then, drunks can't control themselves very well, either.

Heard an interesting observation at the VA Med Center today: "I HATE it when someone says 'I know how you feel'".

Except for a small cadre, people have NO IDEA how a PTSD sufferer feels.

And, when someone says, " he was a nice fellow before he went into service now look what has happen to him; he is nothing but a drunk".

No one in civilian life has any idea what so ever happen to him.
