~~~Once Upon A Time~~~
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
In the beginning or however it's phrased, there was , lets just say an empty box.
AND THEN...AND NOW,,,The box is overflowing with everyone, everything and every place.
Think, for a moment, everything wasn't there/here and now it is.
Time, Words, Laws, Professions, Recreation and Things...so many things,,as big as Cruise Liners to Compact Electric Cars.
Everything we see or experience, our thoughts have created...and our belief sustains it all.
"The Biology of Belief",Bruce Lipton "The Holographic Universe", Michael Talbot'''
So many favorites and yet, even these are the thoughts and words of each author.
Just sharing a glimpse of Tanz's interests and I didn't even get to the ludicrous notion that politics matter or the depths of my spiritual beliefs...Point being...they are all MY THOUGHtS and thus MY REALITY
My perception of your blog is that perhaps our box is filled with too much "stuff".
Reminds me of an illustrated sermon I once saw. A empty jar was on the podium. It was then filled with rocks. The minister equated that to our lives, filled with the important things. He could handily pick it up. Then he added colored marbles and shook it so they tumbled down in and around the rocks. These represented the pretty things in life that we liked, and still the jar was manageable.
Then, he slowly added sand, that represented all the other chores that we take on for others along the way and by now he was barely able to lift the jar. Lastly, he poured water into the jar, representing all the emotional baggage, that we allow to accumulate. By now, he could no longer lift the jar, and that represented our lives, IF we allow things to accumulate like that. Often, that jar would just shatter.
Anyway, that's what I saw when I read your blog.
Spring is here, it's beautiful outside. But let's sit on the computer and insult each other!
..MrsJoe, I like that a lot...and isn't it wonderful that we can interpret others words into something meaningful and personal
Patti, I'm amazed remembering back as far as I can and comparing even something as simple as laundry...the wash pot, ringer washer, and I complain about tossing them in a machine and pushing a button
AS YOU SAY, SOME THINGS ARE TANGIBLE, OTHERS ARE PERCEIVED DIFFERENTLY BY DIFFERENT PERSONS. CARS, HOUSES, TRAINS ARE REAL OBJECTS, IDEAS ARE ACCEPTED OR NOT ACCORDING TO EACH PERSON'S BELIEFS. THAT HAS CERTAINLY MADE OF HELL OF A MESS ON THE PLANET EARTH.
