DO YOU LIKE WATCHING/PLAYING SPORTS?

I grew up in Montreal, Quebec. It was written in my birth certificate that I must watch hockey. No, not really, but I did grow up being a Montreal Canadiens (Hab) fan. I wrote a fan letter to Ken Dryden when I was in high school. He was their goalie and he did great. He never answered but that's life. In recent years, I haven't really watched hockey, I moved to Toronto and lost interest.

Do you watch sports and if so, which ones? Did/do you have a partner that watches sports all day Sundays and you're bored? Admit it.

I am sure a lot of people know that I am a hockey fan. My team the Vancouver Canucks didn't play so well on Sunday night against the Calgary Flames. Tonight is the 4th game in the first round so hopefully Vancouver will do better otherwise the flag is coming down off of my car. I also enjoy watching curling, figure skating and swimming. No man around to watch games at my house so I can hog the TV all that I want.

Yes, I've enjoyed hockey and, as a matter of fact I was also a HABS fan back in my Montreal days. I continued to watch hockey but with all these new players, I don't enjoy it as much. However, I do watch it during the playoffs. When hubby was here he and my son were Maple Leaf fans and my son played hockey for years. So there was a lot of hockey talk in our home. But TV was never a problem, simply because we always had more than one TV (thankfully). I could never understand how any couple living together can expect both partners to like the same programs at all times. Over the years I've heard so much discontent among couples & families (especially during the winter evenings), mostly about TV programming and how they didn't seem to agree etc.

That flag comment made me laugh. I used to watch figure skating during the Olympics. I need to find time for all these things, when I'm not watching all my reality TV shows. Thanks Shartaun03.

I couldn't care less about pro sports. At best all 'you' have to do with the game is paying their salaries. My interest is inversely proportional to the hype I am expected to endure. But that's just me..

I think it's fun to watch sports and be excited by how they do. I miss that. Some have never been into it and that's fine too, kneedtwoplease. Thanks for your response.

I enjoy watching sports.

In my teens I played on a baseball team and was on our high school volleyball team.

Watching sports live is the very best except when there's no instant replay screen...LOL.

About the only sport I'm not interested in watching is synchronized swimming, diving, and swimming races. Oh... and basketball... I guess because I've really never seen live games.

Shar: Go Canucks in the West and Senators in the East!! LOLOL

That's a lot of sports, Rocket. I definitely agree that seeing something live is best. I've been to the Montreal Forum for a hockey game and loved that. I've seen some live baseball games. Live is always best. Thanks for your comment.

I like mini golf. Does that count?

Very nice, ET. I've never been to a golf course but I'm glad you enjoy it. Thanks for the comment.

Hi Elaine: When I was growing up we only had one t.v. and there were three males in the house, so I was flooded with sports and got to hate even the sound of sports on t.v. Neither of my two husbands or any man I've ever been with were into sports. Actually I'm not into t.v. and neither were the men in my life. Watching tons of sports on t.v. would be a deal breaker for me in a relationship.

Thanks for your comment, french. I can see how there could be fights when both want to watch different things. Having more than one TV could solve it, as long as they both don't want to watch their shows in the same room.

That seems like a wise decision Pat, learning to enjoy watching the Red Sox with Joe. Otherwise, Joe would have had your honeymoon alone. Just teasing, you know. Thanks for your comment.

I could understand that, bijou. I couldn't be involved with someone who is a sports fanatic. Thanks for your response.

Men do seem to love watching men fight. I didn't realize that football has that much violence. You should watch hockey. Thanks for your comment, Roxy.

I hope the game turned out the way you'd like, Dianne. I didn't watch it. GO BLUE JAYS GO!!! I have seen a few baseball games live and enjoyed them. That was long ago. I don't really watch baseball on TV.

I hope the rest of your week is great! Thanks very much for your nice comment.

I know you love hunting, Bill. Without a TV, does make it difficult to watch games. Thanks for your response to my post.
