Hi Elaine, nice to see you here!
I still wear a mask, even at home if someone is positive for Covid. In June I had a bad time because of the Covid for more than a month... So, if I go out (only when necessary) I wear a mask. Many people here don't keep a social distance...

I am sorry you had covid but I am glad to hear you are playing it safe.

Perhaps you are talking about the cheap blue ones. I read the N95 are good for a lot longer than 30 minutes. I am very careful when I am out but yes things aren't perfect. I read that if someone wears an N95 correctly, they will be safe. I prefer to be as safe as possible.
No, I am talking about the N95 surgical mask. Like the article stated, they last longer in a sterile environment and unless you are in one, they are good for about 30 minutes. The cheap blue masks are about as good as wearing a bandana on your face.

Depending where I am, I will wear one.

Yes I am an erotica author. I have had some success yes, with books on Amazon's bestseller list at one time. I haven't written anything for quite awhile. I have books that I started and yet to finish. For the record, I wrote as a hobby until I found out I could earn a living from it.

I wish you could send me a link to such a report since I have read the opposite.

I wish I had kept that report to show you, but that was more than a year ago since I read it. There are newer reports about the masks being useless and actually how bad they are for you. I can try and find a couple of those for you if you would like?

I will try and find that first report I had read also.

We all want to be safe, no doubt there.

Too late Elaine, looks like they caught my last post with the link, which they say was denied because of a phone number. There was no phone number in the link. Of course I could submit a new one in code, but they would probably catch me again. LOL, I can't win here, I've been having blogs and comments denied for reasons that they say go against their rules, but so far haven't seen any rules I've actually broken.

But it was a surgeon, a Dr. Jim Meehan who wrote an article titled "if masks don't work, why do surgeons wear them."

This was the comment with the link now taken out. I wonder if it will go through?

I couldn't find the original article I was telling you about, but I found this one which is close enough. Another thing to remember is that masks don't protect your eyes, so unless you wear a shield along with that mask, you can catch it through your eyeballs. Then again, that might not even work since it is an airborne virus and the particles are so small they could get through that as well. Maybe goggles would work better? Oh well, I already had the C-19 so I'm not worried about catching it again. Not sure if we are allowed to share links, so I hope you see this before the SFF police, LOL.

Thanks for all that. I will look and yes I know about eyes so I am happy I wear glasses. I've been ok but have some health issues and it was tough not having caregivers for my mom. Glad we resumed getting caregivers but we still are having some problems getting them when we want them. How are you?

Not vaxed, never will be, dont wear masks, I'm not into the political flu and have been fine throughout the b.s. One of friend's mother got vaxed on a Saturday, reacted instantly, went into hospital and died on the Thursday. Another friend had 2 doses and 2 strokes ..... "Oh, but it's all just a coincidence." ..... yeah ... Of course all the sportsmen's deaths due to heart failure is really due to 'unknown causes'.

Judgment Day will be interesting - and all paths lead there.

I wear a mask when it was mandatory. It is still mandatory in hospitals and medical settings. I got the two injections plus a booster so I don't worry about it.
