Great Blog! Did you ever feel like going out of your home to walk in the rain for a change? Believe me, Nileyears, getting out to walk in the rain is the best way to connect with mother nature! Take care, Be safe.

I've seen 3 or 4 tornadoes in my lifetimes.... thankfully, all were small and dissipated fairly quickly. One did reform about 20 miles down the road and destroyed a barn. We are expecting some rain tonight and then perhaps more severe storms Thursday. I hope the rain does come earlier today though because I have some plants that desperately need it and it is quite a chore for me to go out there and water them. I have another friend in Texas, and she also said the rains have been unrelenting all month. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Ireland is set for one of the wettest months of May on record, dreadful month of rain, staying rather cold too. Fingers crossed we will get some kind of decent summer. Nice blog Nileyears, enjoyed the read.

I remember living in Indiana and we had a tornado. It didn't go where we lived but a couple of miles away it tore up houses, uprooted trees, tossed cars, etc. We were spared but rather scary at the time. A friend of my ex husband watched the tornado go down the road in front of his property. He said he just watched it and figured if it was his time to go, ok he was ready. My galfriend and her husband were visiting us. She and I drove to a town about 1/2 an hour away. We were stopped as we turned to go toward that town. We explained where we were headed. He said ok but do not go to the right as the houses were torn up and gone! One house right in the middle was still standing!!! A church was taken completely and a few women were in the basement at a meeting. They were down in the basement of the church and had no idea what had happened as it was apparently sound proofed and had a door that was closed. They were shocked when they came up from the basement. We did go to that town and took a different route back in case he was still there.

The peak months of the tourist season are usually July and August. I would suggest May, June or September, less busy . Have you a particular part of Ireland in mind that you want to visit , other than Dublin. ?

That would be the best way to go for sure. It would work out cheaper too. Hopefully you and your daughter will get to make the trip one day.
