Please do not use my blog as a battleground. There is enough hate in the world, and I am tired of it!

Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
Guide reproduction wisely—improving fitness and diversity.
Unite humanity with a living new language.
Rule passion—faith—tradition—and all things with tempered reason.
Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
Balance personal rights with social duties.
Prize truth—beauty—love—seeking harmony with the infinite.
Be not a cancer on the Earth—Leave room for nature—Leave room for nature.

I like the one that says "avoid petty laws and useless officials', and a few of the others regarding nature and beauty, but people get stuck on the first one. I remember watching some show years ago about the guidestones, but can't for the life of me remember the name of that show. Whatever it was, they came up with all kinds of reasons why the stones were put up.

I think some eccentric, egotistical, opinionated billionaire had it built......There are several examples in the US......He probably believed in some theory or philosophy and had enough money to have it cast in stone.....Like Joseph Smith of the LDS who made up stories of having found engraved stone plaques buried in the ground and magically translated them using his hat.....or the science fiction author L. Ron Hubbard who founded Scientology with the space aliens.......or Jeff Bezos....... I saw a documentary about a wealthy astronomer who bought hundred of acres of desert and had it altered and installed mirrors and lenses in underground tunnels to illustrate some astronomical phenomena......spent millions of dollars.........People have all kind of beliefs and convictions and the finances to advertise it.......
Could be, but everything was so hush hush on this project that if it was made to boost someone's ego, wouldn't that person want his name on it to be remembered?

Not to long ago I was watching a video of wealthy people building underground bunkers to hide in should we be hit with some kind of a disaster. Made me think of H.G. Wells and his book The Time Machine.

It probably is a good idea for mankind to maintain a 50 million population.. There are definitely too many Humans on this planet, many of us were aware ..of overpopulation back in the 6os and limited our family size accordingly.....

I think, however, that Humans need to not only limit the number of babies being born, but more importantly, which isn't mentioned on these stones, is to limit the r wasteful and destructive hyper-consumerism that is rampant............It is so Human-centric and massively destructive .........It's mass addiction to distraction and comfort ...........
Funny, I was thinking about the waste now in the world just the other day. Everything is throw away and filling up landfills. Plastic bottles, disposable diapers, take out food containers, plastic bags, electronics, tin cans, clothing, etc... we didn't have all that when we were growing up. Making life easier for people has trashed out the planet. As far as cutting down having children, I don't even know how people can afford having children now with hospital and medical costs, unless they have a home birth, and for all I know, that could still be expensive.

Yes, hatred is energy sapping.

I had to look up Georgia Guidestones as I had never heard of them. The guidelines seem wise/reasonable to me, and as for the figure (500 M) given to maintain perpetual balance, who knows - perhaps the organisation behind the stone monument is privy to information others aren't in that the number is correct give or take a few million although it would be speculative (I think). Decided to look elsewhere to see what process was perhaps used to arrive at the estimate/of maintaining, and came across 'optimum population'. See what you think (the estimated human population projected is higher than that of the guidestones) -

Optimum population is a concept where the human population is able to balance maintaining a maximum population size with optimal standards of living for all people.

Regarding the human population, end-targets for an optimum population include ecological sustainability, economic output, and philosophical or ethical ends-in-themselves. Any conception of an optimum population level must lie between a minimum viable population of the human species and the maximum level of population that can be sustained by the carrying capacity of the planet Earth.

Various end-targets are often balanced together in estimating the optimum human population, and different emphasis on different end-targets cause variability among estimates. The optimal world population has been estimated by a team co-authored by Paul R. Ehrlich - based on this, the estimation of optimum population was to be roughly around 1.5 billion to 2 billion people. (Wiki)

** Ehrlich's optimum population estimate was quoted from Ehrlich's 'Optimum Human Population Size' (1994). Some of his predictions have proved inaccurate. Regardless, Ehrlich strongly maintains that the human population is 'too large and a direct threat to human survival and the environment' and in 2018, once again stressed the optimum population size to be between 1.5 - 2 billion people.

I have heard Georgia Guidestones being referred to as America's Stonehenge. I am wondering if some eccentric, egotistical, opinionated druid with money had Stonehenge built. Some theories say it was space aliens.

The best way to pique curiosity is to make something secretive or hidden.

Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Living in Georgia all of my life except time in the military; my wife and I decided to visit the guide stones near Elberton, GA.

We spent over a couple of hours reading, observing as well as chatting with others coming to see the guide stones.

I did not have any deep thoughts about any of the stones, their size or the wording on each of them.

Then all of a sudden my wife came up to me and whispered to me for us to get out of there now. After we were in the car and traveling away from Elberton my wife said she did not feel right while there and never wished to return. I did not ask and she did not say what or why.

.
The beginning of life, conception..

I'm curious as to what made her react in that way. Can you ask her? I would love to know.
