Delicious Devil? A pastor friend of mine told me this story about an Aboriginal friend of his who became a pastor. After a few years of having his own church he came back to my friend's church to preach. Introducing his sermon he announced that if Adam and Eve had been Aboriginal they'd have no problem with sin today. The congregation was puzzled, was this becoming racial? They were a little nervous and wondered where this was going and then he said; They wouldn't have worried about the apple, they'd have eaten the snake. Gotta love the way he broke the ice. Judgment Day will be interesting - and all paths lead there. |

Why not just stuff the snake with the apples and roast it.

What a neat sense of humor that pastor had..... one of the best ways to start a sermon! If I had been in the congregation, I definitely would have laughed..... in fact, it gave me a smile now! Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Slice that snake thin and cook it with eggs.............snake and eggs. Serve it and pass it off as bacon.
