Ah, Hermit, you sound like you are definitely enjoying a blessed life and makes me a wee bit envious. I remember a time when I was still working my secular job, raising a family, but very busy with the Lord's work also. Busy, busy, but very content and full of joy.
It's ok to not have time for the blogs, but I'm glad to see you drop in once in awhile with a little report on your life. It's this peek at life kind of blog that makes it worth while to hang around.
Joe and I are doing ok also, but a huge health issue set back last month has us pretty well house bound at the moment. A fractured femur at his age is quite a challenge.

Yes Mrsjoe, it's busy but I feel I have purpose. There's other stuff I do also but I didn't want to make it too lengthy.

Sometimes come in and read stuff if it's not politics or nasty. Hope you guys hang in there a fracture isn't a break but still it's not good. Hope it's not too painful.

It's funny but the word "group" is missing twice in my post. I typed up the post in Word, then pasted it in here and for some reason it's been deleted twice. It should be in at "The monthly men's group I started .... and "I'm involved with a protesting group against the late term abortion laws .." Odd.

God bless

In our medical terminology, a fracture is a break.... there are just different kinds, and this was completely across the femur about an inch or two above the knee. They put in a rod almost the entire length of the femur, with pins in the top and the bottom to hold it in place. He is not allowed to put any weight on it at all for now, and is not doing well at standing on one leg, so basically is bed or chair bound. But his spirits are good, and we are trusting God for a full recovery as he does all the exercises that the therapists give him to do.
They want him to do them 2-3 a day, but he isn't managing that yet. I've been trying to do them with him, but even I have a hard time managing them. Just goes to show that we need to keep our muscles built up as we get older and less active.
May God continue to bless you in your active life, as you bless others!
