What % of these profile are legit? I just deleted and reopened my profile. Without exaggerating, more than 50% of the email I got were from scammers. Is this basically the same for everyone. FF sites are rated in the lower 25%, and this is probably the reason. |

If they are under 45 in a Senior's Site I ignore them instantly. Most of the scammers claim they are 28-35 years old, 29 and 33 being the favoured fiigures. Just talk to some in chat & the blogs, it soon becomes apparent who is who. Hang in there. Judgment Day will be interesting - and all paths lead there.

Hi Robert: Wow, 50% scammers is way lower than what I get. I'd estimate I receive 90% from scammers and 10% from married men, and 100% of the men are thousands of miles away.

If it wasn't for SFF I wouldn't be living in Georgia with Alfie (hawkslayer). We too have met many other SFFers through bashes and get togethers. The scammers tickle me. They are glaringly obvious...starting with their ages. Sure if I was alone, I would be checking out these 37 year olds. NOT! Uhhh, I have grandchildren almost their ages. I sure wouldn't want to raise another child...........

BESIDES all the girls half my age thousands of miles away that message me, I got this HERE yesterday from an older male! HERE! "Well I think we can see how best we can help my niece to execute her inheritance in a safe in UK. which worth 370 kilos of Gold bars her father awarded to her when He passed. . Which her family members wanted to kill her and take her inheritance from her. so let me know if you can be of help to her so that i give you details about it and we can see how we can go about to get this done." Where does it end! I reported and blocked, but noticed this guy still staring at me all day so deleted his message. Craigslist has a bunch of my photos... grrrrrr. posers and fakes galore oh my

I think that about 98% of the people that contact us through the message centre here are scammers. If you go into the chat rooms, you will actually get to talk to 'real' people. There may be a few scammers among them, but on the whole, they're just regular folks.

Unfortunately this is just a cross section of the world we live in. Just do the same as you do in the face to face world. It's a delicate balance between being adequately selective and being open to victimization. Fortunately them people with less than honest are pretty easy to spot. Spiritwoman ^i^

It becomes pretty clear who are real and who are scammers, when you get messages on SFF. The odd time I've been unsure but for the most part, it's obvious. Hang in there. There are some great people here. Elaine Shuel
