Hank, I can empathize with your situation. Digestive tract problems can be a real pain, no pun intended. Since you have had the scopes, I assume you have seen a gastroenterologist?
I remember one time about 3 years ago, when Joe had horrible gas and diarrhea for days and days ..... our doctor suggested probiotics and lots of GREEK yogurt. It took awhile but eventually everything got back to normal. For the immediate relief, he took OTC gas relief pills (simethicone) and OTC diarrhea pills (immodium) whenever he needed them.
But it was so bad that he hated to leave the house and I didn't want anyone to come into the house because of the odor.
I hope this problem isn't going to ruin your Christmas plans. Merry Christmas to you and yours from me and Joe.

Hank, I just thought of something else. My doctor says I have IBS... irritable bowel syndrome..... sometimes it is diarrhea and sometimes constipation, but sometimes there is quite a bit of pain..... I have a prescription for it, called Dicyclomine. I only take it occasionally, but it sure helps with the pain. It calms down the muscles of the intestines. You might ask about it if this continues.

With an acid tummy I just take a little bit of good old bicarbonate of soda. Very cheap and works for me. I take it at least an hour before bed, otherwise it can be uncomfortable not being vertical.

Judgment Day will be interesting - and all paths lead there.
