Oh what memories this brings back..... no, my mother-in-law did not drink, but she did cook the chicken feet! They were took out before it was served, but just the thought of them put me off my feed. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

When butchering the chickens my mother would cut off the chicken feet and scald them in hot water so she could peel off the outer skin. They then would be cooked to make chicken soup. Nothing was wasted on the chicken. I recall also how when we butchered the hens there would be egg yolks inside of the hens. They were kept to make homemade noodles out of.
