Hank, oh yes this country is in a shambles. Bottom line is our Prime Minister wanted Jody Wilson-Raybould (the former Attorney General) to lie about a shady company (SNC-Lavalin, out of Montreal). Testifying at the Commons justice committee last Wednesday, Wilson-Raybould said she was contacted by 11 officials in the Prime Minister's Office, the Privy Council Office and Finance Minister Bill Morneau's office while she was justice minister and attorney general about the Quebec-based engineering and construction company. SNC-Lavalin was facing corruption charges for contracts in Libya and was lobbying for a remediation agreement as an alternative to criminal prosecution. But the PM insists he was tryin to save 9,000 jobs (he failed to mentioned the word 'regardless'! Shady deals!! So that two Cabinet Ministers who resigned within a week of each other! The PM should be stepping down (7 months away from election).

I think every country has its problems, and many of those problems are at the top. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Nothing compared to the problems Mango has. I don't know all the ins and outs of this matter, but seems the intent was good. They wanted to save jobs and pensions. Nobody in the Liberal cabinet was going to personally profit from this. Compare this to the mess former PC prime minister Mulroney got himself into. He accepted something like 150K from a shady German business man, sat on it for some years before declaring it, and then skated around the truth on the matter when he was up before a parliamentary committee. The guy is a lawyer, he knows better than to take cash, especially when he had been warned about the shady German.

Well, one way he affects me is that he improved late night comedy a lot. You forget the army boots my mother wears.
