not necessarily on everybody's 'RADAR', the bill is Air Traffic Control Privatization. And 'Modernization'. No one is protesting the latter but the General Aviation community has had the former in its sites for many years, especially seeing some of our 'friends' go there (Canada for instance). GA is saying 'Privatization will give control of ATC to the airlines and their cronies via a 'non-profit'. The big fear of GA is user fees. User Fees may seem fair at ground level but GA is usually a hobby type thing and already stretching many a budget with tie down fees, fuel costs, maintenance etc. Once those costs are met one can show up on frequency and ask if they can use the runway and their allotted airspace and flight control. The Airlines.. I mean the airline users are already paying a fortune in landing fees, fuel costs, maintenance etc for a seat to somewhere.
No one is complaining about Air Traffic Controllers. HUGE responsibility and complex job. Has been said their responsibility is for more souls personally than any other profession. Global Warming Awareness isn't going to change weather phenomenon. Crowded tarmac & airspace won't be fixed by changing owners away from the taxpayers. Despite being a Government inanity, MANY are saying if its not broke don't Mess with it

Interestingly enough Cap'N Trump is pushing for this. And he is making a mess of the Airspace when he goes home in Florida. Just the cost of doing business I guess.. There is space and room for GA. Always has been

Stevo has not weighed in one way or the other that I have heard (on 'the bill', and I have never talked to him. I just enjoy riding along (vicariously) and the view from the front seat
