You are my beloved.

You are my beloved

I would tell the world; if I live for one hour,
as a reflection in your eyes,
then I have lived for a thousand years;
and if your lips would smile upon my entrance,
I would live for a thousand more.
And each moment’s breath, being at your side,
would be a million years in your company,
For you are my beloved

Should I serve a lifetime of hardship,
Which would callous the smoothing of my heart;
I’d file the rough to a round of softness,
So my love would be of such tenderness,
that, should your heart reach out in touch of mine,
then would the joining be jelled into one,
and I would be glued for my heart’s lifetime,
For you are my beloved

You writ such lovely poems Ron. I love the nice soft romantic words
"And your lips would smile upon my entrance", For you are my beloved, so my love would be of such tenderness, - all so beautiful and specially needed on this site which is supposed to be a frnindship/romantic site. I'll put music to that and sing it to Bob!!!!

The object of the narrator's desire is very fortunate!

Hail to you, fellow traveler...lol. Now I had to sit and ponder over your words, wondering what was the objective of the narrator, then (As we English say)...The penny dropped! I'm afraid the object of the narrator has yet to be found. have a lovely day and thank you, Rocket.
